Nationwide Switch Offer £200 September 2023

It is a good offer but was declined. Only got £250 overdraft, and was surprised they even gave me that. They probably think having 8 credit cards means somebody is unable to manage money and debt well. When all the debt is stoozing and the total credit limit is 10% over the annual salary. Anyhow, Nationwide is definitely a keeper.TwiceNightly said:
The credit card also has no transaction fees on foreign spendingVolcane said:I also took out the Nationwide members only credit card too to take advantage of the 0% 15 month purchase offer on it. Additionally the flex direct current account is also giving a good interest rate for 12 months on the first £1500 too… one of the better overall packages when you also factor in the switch incentive. I plan to keep this account and not switch it out.0 -
I chanced it again having open an account in August 21 and received the bonus in September 21, just received a text message today saying £200 is in your account checked on the app and indeed money has been received approximately four days after the switch completed. I'm transferring the money out in case they change their mind!1

Did you switch into the same account as the one that received the incentive last time?mr_accountant said:I chanced it again having open an account in August 21 and received the bonus in September 21, just received a text message today saying £200 is in your account checked on the app and indeed money has been received approximately four days after the switch completed. If you mean the old NW flexaccount that account was closed and transferred over to another bank however when I opened the NW flexaccount this time around NW must have recognised my old details on file as I used the same details to log into the app, only different thing I did this time around was use a new email address though I don't know how relevant that was.Ed-1 said:

Did you switch into an account you'd not preciously received an incentive on? And if not was the one you did receive the incentive on still open?PRAISETHESUN said:Thought I'd chance it with this offer and see if I could manage to slip through the cracks and snag an incentive knowing I'm ineligible for the offer. Seems Nationwide is on the ball here as my switch completed yesterday and I got a message this morning telling me that I won't be receiving the incentive
I'm not really concerned as I was fully expecting to not get it, but it's interesting to read some ppl have managed to get it a second time.In my instance I switched into a spare Nationwide account that hadn't received an incentive before but yes I also have a long-standing Nationwide account which has received an incentive before which still remains open.

The first straight forward switching offer Nationwide ran began in August 2021. Prior to the pandemic they had a long-running refer-a-friend offer.
Interesting. In that case there's something funky afoot, as that's the only offer I've had from them. That account was then switched out early 2021.
....looks like a phone call might be on the cards.0 -
Did you switch 2 direct debits?juanrodriguez said:WillPS said:juanrodriguez said:I also got a text today, but not sure it’s right. Yes.
I got a text saying:
"We’re really sorry, but as you or another account holder has already received a switch offer payment, you don’t qualify for your recent switch offer ending."
Which suggests it's an issue with them thinking I've already qualified for an award. It's a solo account etc.

The Nationwide credit card was my 14th so they certainly allow people with multiple cards. Gave me a £4050 credit limit ( why not just a straight £4k is anybody’s guess). Always a bit of a lottery these cc applications are.pecunianonolet said:

Anyone switched from a TSB spend and save account? The account is still visible on their app but is now labelled as Personal Switch Out Account. Just wondering if that’s expected?
The switch was meant to have completed yesterday and paying money using my old TSB account details is forwarded to the new NW account. Payees and DDs are both visible on the NW account.0
