Yes, Co-op done, still waiting for payout too. Will use that account as a donor account when no longer needed and next switch deal is available as I don’t like the app and the account itself doesn’t give me any benefits once the refer a friend option is ended.
Yes, Nationwide at least has a decent regular saver but Coop has nothing and the rewards they offer are rather a joke too.

I also took out the Nationwide members only credit card too to take advantage of the 0% 15 month purchase offer on it. Additionally the flex direct current account is also giving a good interest rate for 12 months on the first £1500 too… one of the better overall packages when you also factor in the switch incentive. I plan to keep this account and not switch it out.

  • Hello guys.

I've just checked our Virgin Money joint account and can now see 2 x Paypal DD's setup which are Active.  We've also gone into Paypal and chosen 'Add Money' and added £1 via Virgin Money DD for both PayPal accounts.  Paypal activity shows that the DDs will be taken out on 26 Oct for both accounts.

    So my questions are:-
    • Can we now go ahead and open a joint Nationwide account?
    • If Yes, since we are already sole Nationwide account holders, what is the process of now opening a joint account instead?
    • Assuming we can go ahead, we want to play it safe incase there was an issue with the DDs, so what date should we set the switch to take place?

Thought I'd chance it with this offer and see if I could manage to slip through the cracks and snag an incentive knowing I'm ineligible for the offer. Seems Nationwide is on the ball here as my switch completed yesterday and I got a message this morning telling me that I won't be receiving the incentive :(
  • I also got a text today, but not sure it’s right. As I lay received an incentive from them in 2020 from what I can see in my records. T&Cs state anything before August 2021 should be ok.

No number/email to use to query either.

Did you switch into an account you'd not preciously received an incentive on? And if not was the one you did receive the incentive on still open?

The first straight forward switching offer Nationwide ran began in August 2021. Prior to the pandemic they had a long-running refer-a-friend offer.

The credit card also has no transaction fees on foreign spending

I was refused after opening new current account applying for switch at that time only holding a savings account, email address had been changed from when I received £175 incentive, according to Totally Money Nationwide only did a soft search.
