TSB Sep 2023 switch offer

So I signed up for a TSB spend and Save account about 10 days ago, filled in the online PDF for the switch from RBS account I have with 2 active £1 Direct Debits active. My switch will be completed on the 29th but do I then have to wait until after November 30th isn't it for the £150 to be paid?
Only because I want to quickly move on and get the Nationwide Switch deal before that ends.0 -
Hi, so i've opened a TSB account, done the switch (waiting for it to go thru) and i'm now at the 20+ transaction on the card bit. I've opened a Chip account (4.84%) and made a deposit from my Santander acc. Then linked my new TSB debit card - made £1 deposit.Bridlington1 said:
Sadly you wouldn't get 1% cashback from Chase for depositing into a savings account by debit card as Chase exclude these types of transactions from the offer, see:hvaghela said:
Thanks for this - sorry for being a bit dim - but this could be a game changer for me. I never knew I could pay into a savings account with my debit card. I have a Chase account- 1% cashback. Will I get the 1% from Chase if a rotate my money around 1 or 2 of these accounts?Bridlington1 said:
You can certainly do that if you want. You could also make 20 debit card payments into a savings account by debit card. There's a list of accounts that you can make debit card deposits into on this thread:hvaghela said:- New customers can earn £5 cashback a month when you make 20 or more debit card payments each calendar month (first six months only for Spend & Save current account).
- If you’ve switched to us, and met the criteria above, we’ll double it to £10 a month for six months!
I copied this off the TSB website - just checking a hack - can I make ALL my 20+ debit card payments within 20 minutes of each other. I'm thinking going for my weekly shop - self service - and pay for 1 item at a time rather than all together.

Paying into a savings account by debit card does work for some reward accounts though, such as Halifax, Co-op and TSB.
My question - how can i make the £1 deposit from TSB card to Chip account automated - or do i have to do this manually 20 times per calendar month? Cheers0 -
I can't say I've ever been able to automate debit card deposits into any savings account, if you wanted to make 20 debit card deposits into chip each month it would have to be all done manually.hvaghela said:

Regarding the debit card payments, would ones to savings accounts such as YBS count?
I can do the 20 to shops etc anyway but this would help, can't see any mention in the terms and conditions though.0 -
£1 card payments to YBS have been fine for me for the previous TSB offer. Also NS&I savings and Amazon Gift Card topups.Bazzalona13295 said:Regarding the debit card payments, would ones to savings accounts such as YBS count?

Do TSB do hard or soft searches for opening a secondary account with them?0
