I've just been informed that I don't meet the requirements for the switch bonus from TSB. All because I didn't open my account before 9 Oct. I thought I had until today, but, I had to complete the switch before 31 Oct but have opened the account before 9 Oct.

I've also had a nightmare opening the account because of additional ID documents being requested after the account was opened!?! Following a complaint I got a £40 "sorry" from TSB but told I've missed the bonus.
I don't follow, you said you didn't open your account before 9 Oct, but then in the next sentence say you have opened your account before 9 Oct??

What were the terms of the offer in regards to opening and switching and did you meet them all?
You're quite correct. I opened the account on 11 October, the switch completed on 22 October. I feel like I met all of the switch bonus criteria. Looking at the terms and conditions there was no deadline, just when TSB decided to end it.
  • Anyone have a crystal ball and know when the switch bonus will be paid. Getting fed up of the app constantly not working
  • Got the Double Cashback today for the 20 transactions, anyone else get it?

    Yep I got it.
  • Does anyone know how to escalate a complaint to the ombudsman? I've never done it before. I complained to TSB, and it will have been 8 weeks since on Thursday so I doubt they're going to get back to me about it. The manager phoned me on my mobile and talked to me about my account but didn't go through security, I questioned her about this and she said that she could recognise my voice and I was driving my car so that was enough for her to know it was me and she didn't need to do security. I wasn't even in my car when she called me so I can't see how her judgement is good enough to pick out my voice over the other 8 billion people on this planet! But I'm guessing TSB don't see it as a problem seeing as they haven't got back to me?

    Start here. It's simple enough.
Whilst my posts do not constitute financial advice, I am always, without fail, 100% right! :D

Cheers! They've got 48 hours left so I have to give them that.
