Morning all, it's dry at the moment and forecast to stay that way so taking the opportunity to get some washing done including the bedding.  First load out on the line.

@NornIronRose - sorry about your futile quest for the sugar puffs.  Did you try using the bar code scanner on the app for the ones they did have?  Apparently according to their website they are 25% lower in sugar than they used to be.  I may well have a look when I go shopping on Tuesday.

You can make overnight oats using one of your HEAs of milk instead of yoghurt but have never actually done it myself.  Don't think you'd need the whole HEA.  There are all sorts of things you can flavour them with not just fruit. How about carrot cake flavour?  Just grate some carrot (Speed) into it along with some mixed spice and cinnamon.  I think most people use yoghurt as it's a Free food and fruit as it helps to increase the amount of Speed foods which are so important.  It's probably worth googling "making overnight oats without yoghurt" to see what it throws up.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - P; S; F; 2
L - burger, onions, gherkin slices in WM pitta - HEB; S; 0.5
D - roast pork, roast potatoes, roasted carrots and onions, cauliflower, green beans, peas - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - WM pitta
Syns - sausages 2; burger 0.5; may have a 0% rum and ginger beer (just checked syns and it's actually Free so even better than the 0% gin - just hope I enjoy it as much!)

    Have a good day everyone.
  • Thanks I will have a look for recipes as you suggest.

Stress today though! My DD1 is meant to be travelling to Morocco tomorrow for a much needed holiday and can't find her passport! She is frantic as she is exhausted (works in a very busy London hospital) and really needs this holiday.
She had it a few weeks ago to go up to Edinburgh and has turned her flat upside down hunting for it.
I'm on call this weekend and it's been busy but will get someone to cover and drive down to London to help her look as a fresh pair of eyes.

So much for packing! On call has been pretty busy and I still have loads to do so should really grab some brekkie and crack on.

  • Oh, as for the sugar puffs, I scoured every shelf numerous times but there was nothing similar. Showing online as Sainsbury's having the lower sugar ones but it doesn't open til 11 so will nip over then if I get the chance.

Good morning all - it's sunny here!

Well done on the 2lb loss @bubbs - amazing xx If you set a new target does it have to be a certain amount below your previous one? Doubt I will ever have that issue tbh but interested to know.

Well done on the 1lb loss @Longwalker xx

I have a food delivery coming today - plenty of lean meat, fruit and veg. Just wanted a quiet weekend at home. I had a bath, facemask, eye mask and dyed my hair yesterday at 3pm - felt very indulgent! I was meant to be going into London for lunch with a friend for her 50th but her younger sister died early yesterday morning. Just tragic.

    Food today:
    B - brioche, apple, 2 satsumas - 6, S
L - SW naked beef burrito lunch bowl - free
D - pork and egg loaf, sw chips, green beans, broccoli - P, free, S
    HEA - milk
    HEB - hi fi bar
    Syns - 6

@Coxy11 - so sorry to hear that your friend's younger sister died yesterday.  Absolutely tragic particularly for someone so young.

With regards to reducing target it needs to be 7lb at a time so the best time to reduce it is when you are at bottom end or even dropped out of bottom end so you only have another 3 or 4 lb to reach it!  I had the opposite problem as I had set my target and reached it too low and when I went to the Dr with a chest infection she was very annoyed with me and told me she never wanted to see me below 8stone again!  I ended up having to increase my target by 7lb!  However now I'm that bit older and I find it harder to lose then I'm glad I did increase the target.  I seem to be in the top half of range nearly all the time!

Morning all - sunny one minute, tipping it down the next and very windy here.

I live off overnight oats now - I find them so easy just to grab in the morning if I'm goiing to have a busy day.  They are also great for taking for a packed breakfast (which DH and I always have when we drive somewhere - living so far south it takes us almost 1.5 hours just to get out of Cornwall and then go anywhere!).

    Today's plan

    B Overnight oats (HEB)
L home made veggie soup with some grated cheese for (HEA)
D Fiery chilli off the SW app which I will serve with loads of rice.
Snacks hm apple crumble (5 syns) with FF yog, berries and yog and probably a Tunnocks tea cake :) (5 syns)

  • Coxy11 that's sad about your friend's sister. I can't even imagine how hard that would be.

Joedenise that's interesting about target. Gosh, under 8 stone? I don't think I've been that weight since I was a little kid! I think I set my target at 3 stone. When I lost 6.5 stone before (pre kids) I was down to 12 st 4 and looked and felt good. Big-boned is a thing! My mum went down under 10 stone and you could see her hip bones sticking out so I really wouldn't want to go that low. She was a couple of inches shorter than me too.
3 stone will take me to 12.5 then I will try to go down a bit more. I know for some 12.5 is very overweight, but for me it is a distant dream!

@NornIronRose - I know the weight sounds low but I'm only 5' tall and small boned.  Up until I hit 40 I weighed about 6st 7lb and then the weight piled on so now having my target at 8st 5lb is still nearly 2 stone higher than when I was younger.  I'd definitely look scrawny now if I was at that weight!
  • @Coxy11 , so sorry to hear about your friends sister , take care of yourself xxxx

@NornIronRose , we all come different shapes and sizes, no judgement from fellow members. Your target is YOUR target, unlike WW who tell you. For me, my height and bone structure Im allowed to go as low as 7st  3lb - the lowest weight on the BMI scale - I would be skeletal and I have no intention. My goal was a healthy BMI which Im now in, but now Im looking at the health benefits of losing another 7lb rather then the 3lb Ive my eye on.  That would bring my fitness age down considerably and getting older, thats my goal. I started aged 58 with a fitness age of 62, Im now down to a fit age of 56 - real age 59. Im not looking to slim slim, just where I can get into my jeans and not have to undo the button and those jeans forever to be size 10 :)

Yep Overnight oats, or make in the morning to eat at lunchtime oats are by go to. I dont like cereals or milk so it would have always been toast - with butter - lots of butter.
