"Fall into Autumn with SW"

That's so sad when your DD really needed a break @NornIronRose. You're right though that the best way to get over this is to plan another trip PDQ. 🤞🏼 that the house exchange goes through and great news about the car. You've got a lot on your plate (excuse pun) and SW at the same time.
I tend to measure things like pasta and rice as most recipes either state however many grams are needed or I have a measure for spaghetti and and a particular mug that holds just the right amount of dried rice for two of us. When I make the microwave pouches I weigh out 250g of cooked rice for the freezer as that's the size of the shop bought pouches. It doesn't bother me how many potatoes/chips I have as I'm always careful to match it with at least the same amount of Speed veg, usually far more. One tip a consultant gave us was to put the Speed on the plate first (covering at least a third) before adding the carbs and protein.
I have tried doing the S/P plan which is meant to speed up weightloss but I don't really find it any more successful than the normal EE with carbs. I do have some S/P meals or close to it like omelettes or today when my plate at lunchtime had two slices of ham, one single LO potato from yesterday and all the rest was Speed.
I haven't checked but I know I've got about 25-30 syns left until Thursday. I can't think I need any, so well on track this week. We're out for lunch then, unless any more storms come our way or don't as happened last week.🤣 I'm doing 'good when I can'. I won't be going to WI as I don't want to bring it forward as I don't want to have to go to weigh over Christmas for obvious reasons. 😉
Dry and bright again here @joedenise. I put a load out earlier and the washing basket is now empty. 👍🏼
It's countdown for you both @Coxy11 and @Jellybaby, getting closer all the time to finishing your jobs. 😁
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA1 milk for drinks, eggs, bacon (P), tomatoes (S)
L- ham (P), 1 potato (F), fried veg and pickles (S)
D- chicken (P), SW chips (F), garlic mushrooms (S,HEA2), tomatoes, green stuff (S)

@Jellybaby , well done for not going F *** it and turning the upset into something positive and getting on top of those chores@NornironRose, thats such a shame for your daughter but excellent news on the car and exchange. A little less stress now hopefullyIm off today and tomorrow - Yayyyyy. Caught up on some washing, lost of odd items that cant be put in a mixed wash, his nibs wool Jumpers, a huge coat, some smalls ( and they are a lot smaller the they were lol ) . Ive still got some more items but none can be tumbled dried and Ive run out of hanging/spreading spaceHad to go out for coal, and still forgot the firelighters!!!!Just had brunch, 2 slices of wholemeal spread with dairy lea light, a mountain of salad and a kipper. Shared the kipper with the dog and hes just puked it all up over a sofa cushion!!!! Such joysIm not sure about dinner, Ive pork loin chops, casserole beef and a small chicken ( the 3 for £10 club card deal ) and lots of veg, seriously I could open a veg shop
so whatever I go for it will be on plan and loads of speed.
Im about to clean the kitchen and make a butternut squash soup for me towards the end of the week - something I can come home to and not spoil my appetite for dinnerI want to be at target at the end of this 6 week countdown, 4 more weigh ins to lose 3lb2 -
Afternoon all. It's all been a bit go go go around here recently so very little time to keep track of what's what. Have managed to maintain my weight though so that's one good thing, just before we go off to America again at the weekend so DH can get his NFL fix - apparently being in the States when your team are playing in the UK is just unacceptable so you must then make a pilgrimage to the stadium and watch them in the freezing cold on a Monday night 😆 and drag your wife along for the ride!
Had porridge for breakfast with a shed load of raspberries, followed by a salad for lunch using up some leftover roast beef from dinner yesterday and then dinner tonight is carbonara with some added mushrooms for me.

Exchange is now NOT happening today and I'm flippin'
Hopefully will happen tomorrow so I can make concrete arrangements for utilities, van hire etc.
Had an omelette with smoked cheese for lunch with a big plate of salad. Smoked cheese as a HEXA is a revelation! So much flavour so that and the puffed wheat are my 2 new happy discoveries this week.
Just need to find where to buy Finn Crisp crackers and I'll be happy.
But really shouldn't be buying anything else til I move.

@NornIronRose how maddening about the exchange of contracts. I first found Finn Crisp crackers at Booths when on holiday in the North-West, I now get them in my Sainsbury's delivery, only once were they OOS, so now I buy 2 at a time as I love them. So sorry for your DD, heartbreaking for her.
The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)2 -
Thanks Maddiemay. My (SW) colleague had given me a pack and said Sainsbury's too but couldn't find them. Will try another branch. Going to look back a couple of pages and find the biryani recipe.
That will do me for the next 3 nights hopefully. I've promised DD2 a takeaway if she makes good progress with clearing her room. She's up and doing it after being asked to for 10 weeks!1 -
That's infuriating about the exchange @NornironRose, especially as the solicitor made a point of calling you. 🤞 for tomorrow.
Let me know how the biryani recipe goes. I'd like to try it but unsure of quantities especially rice and liquid. 🤔1 -
@NornIronRose sorry about your daughter and also the exchange - very frustrating.
DS is with us till tomorrow, we went out for breakfast today - I didn't have the fry up I had wholemeal toast (1slice) with 2 poached eggs, avocado and two rashers - I guessed the avo to be about 25g so 2.5 syns. Lunch was home made veggie soup and tonight we have my favourite meal - Whitby scampi with SW chips and peas and sweetcorn. I measured the scampis and it came to 7.5 syns so quite a high day syn wise. I was pleased with my breakfast chices though!
Tomorrow we need to go across the border into Devon to drop DS off at the station and we plan to do some shopping in the big city. Breakfast will be overnight oats and I have done ham rolls for DS and DH and I have got some ham and two hard boiled eggs plus a banana. When we get back tomorrow dinner will be home made cottage pie with swede and carrot topping - its out of the freezer and defrosting in the fridge and I'll just heat it in the remoska and do some veggies with it. Fingers crossed I can stay on track.Debt free and Keeping on Track2 -
