Grrrr. Did a long post then lost it while trying to find the biryani recipe that I used.
It was good. Have enough for at least 3 more meals. Just need to add some lemon maybe. I emptied the contents of my frozen veg drawer into it. Spinach, mixed veg and peas, so it is a wee bit sweet. Not keen on the peppers in it so would leave them out next time.
As for the ratios, lots of chicken cut up. Then I put about 250g basmati, with about 250ml water. It's just right. Might need a wee bit more water as I used the frozen veg too.
But it is fairly free and with lots of veg so a good tummy filler.

Morning all, not looking too bad again weatherise and forecast to be dry again before the rains start for the next 10 days at least although mainly just showery. Hope it's not too bad for the weekend as we've arranged to meet up with friends in the motorhome - I shall be avoiding the wine and sticking with my G&Ts as they are such a bad influence where wine is concerned! It's always boxes not bottles so end up losing track! At least with G&Ts I can keep count and stay within syns!
The biryani sounds like a good way to use up the odds and ends of freezer veg @NornIronRose! Basmati rice usually needs twice as much water as rice to cook but as you say you used frozen veg so would have needed less water.
Sorry you're still feeling sore and scunnered after your fall @beanielou. Look after yourself and take care. Well done on the loss.
Dentist this morning - hopefully don't need anything done so it'll just be cost of a check up. Could really do without needing any treatment as still need to get some glasses - have an eye test booked for Thursday morning.
Today's plan:
B - kedgeree - P; S; F
L - pizza using thins - HEB; HEA2; P; S
D - baked salmon, mini roasties, corn on the cob - P; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - Thins
Syns - none planned but may well have a skinny whip bar or similar 4 or 5 depending on which one I have!
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, Ive woken tired, not good as Ive a few things I want to get done todayGood luck with the dentist @joedenise , I always get caught for something, teeth are terrible, well the ones I still have are anyways. Im must be coming up to eye test soon as well, thats always at least £400So I was a wee angel last night and cooked a roast chicken dinner, air fryer for the lot. It was ok, nothing special, but very filling. I just didnt feel the love tbh, much preferred the kippers I had at lunchtimeGoing to make a chicken stir fry with the left overs, it was a tiny chicken, big pigeon I reckon, so not a lot there but I intend to use speed speed and more speed. Mum and him are going to start complaining soon I know lol. Tomorrow is Beef stew - loads more speed, the next is the pork chops with Bubble and more speed then Friday its their fish and chip tea , I shall bodge something up with eggs and then weigh in Saturday and I shall sob if its just the usual half or pound off lolIve spent a bit of time on the SW site and have looked at becoming a target member and maintaining, with the slow weight loss Ive had Im not going to be getting much wiggle room in the way of extras, still it is what it is and I shall have to jump that hurdle when I get to it. I know I have a good grounding, I know I have good and bad days, I know I can draw the line and get back to it the following day so I should be ok. One question I have though that I haven't seen the answer to, how often do you have to weigh in? The only target member I know who goes still goes week in and out for the past 12 years as she is totally obsessed with staying on target and still gets super stressed if she gains a lb. I dont want to be her. So what works with you?0
-
@Longwalker - target members need to WI every 8 weeks. After about 4 weeks the website will remind you to WI but you can ignore that as long as you go every 8 weeks.
I don't use any of the extras I'm allowed, like you it's not much anyway, as I only every lost half or a lb. If I have the extras I'm likely to gain so just stick to the normal amounts.
I like to stay in target but just because I don't want to have to pay! I always gain when I go on holiday so make sure to weigh just beforehand so have plenty of time to get back to target before needing to weigh again!

Longwalker. When you get to target you have 3 lbs each way of your target weight. That’s your target bubble. If you go out of that then you have one weeks grace to get back into your bubble. If you don’t then you pay.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. @joedenise hope all well at dentist, saw Hygienist yesterday, not too bad and she gave me a little brush to try that should fit a bigger gap. Dentist proper in 2 weeks.
@NornIronRose I was a slow loser too, but an extra 30 Syns per week and some additional HS is great means that a few treats can be had.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)1
