@Jellybaby
I’m back from my cheeky all-inclusive break in Majorca. Chose wisely for my meals but will gloss over the alcohol! Had an early start of 5:30am UK time today so now feeling very jaded.Back in the office tomorrow morning - only 6 Mondays left - channelling my inner @Jellybaby
Sorry to hear about your DMum @bubbs - hope she improves soon. My DDad had a tumour removed from his bladder on Wednesday, came out of hospital on Friday, back in yesterday. Poor bloke just can’t catch a break - on the plus side he has a huge appendage apparently - every cloud 😳Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings1 -
Sorry to hear about your dad @Coxy11. You must be shattered after the early start but worth it for a super weekend. I don't think you'll be up to much in the office tomorrow. 🤣
I love soda bread @Longwalker. You may be feeling bloated but at least you were good with the fillings. How long before you leave for Tuscany? 🤔1 -
Sorry to hear about your dad coxy

I love soda bread @Longwalker. You may be feeling bloated but at least you were good with the fillings. How long before you leave for Tuscany? 🤔I know Ive been saying I will be going mad and scoffing everything in sight, as well as drinking my weight in red wine, and Im not going to beat myself up, but I also know some habits are built in already and I will choose the lighter options. There is a pizza night, wine and pizza keeps coming but Im thinking there will be salads and nibbles - artichokes, tomatoes etc so Im planing to eat a slice or two, but no crusts and fill up on the lighter foods and just accept olive oil is good for youAs for wine, well Ive not had any for months and know I will get drunkish easily so I will go easy. No one needs a drunk at a wedding and thankfully , even though I do drink like a fish, I do tend to be well behaved when Im hosting or hosting in parent-us ( however its spelled ) so to speakafter parties are a different kettle of fish1 -
Morning all, it's a bit chillier this morning but at least it's still dry. Have put the heating on to check that the boiler is working OK and that the radiators don't need bleeding. Glad to say the heating is working and just need to check if any of them need bleeding but they can warm the bungalow up a bit before we check!
Glad you had a good holiday @Coxy11 but sorry to hear about your dad. Pity you're not working from home today, it would be much easier than going into the office!
Sounds like a plan for your holiday @longwalker. I think you're right that we tend to go for the lighter options once we've been doing SW for a while.
Today's plan:
B - Toasted cheese sandwich - HEA2; HEB
L - ham salad - HEA2; P; S; F
D - butter chicken, rice - P; S; F; 2.5
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - butter 2.5
Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon all! Back from America, had a wonderful (and exhausting) time. MiL was very surprised to see us - she didn't recognise DH when he first said hello to her and the wedding was lovely. Rest of the trip was amazing, saw things I never thought I'd see, ate some amazing food and made memories to last a lifetime. S**t has hit the fan since we got back last week though so things are a little stressful around here (DH's grandma passed away last week, his sister has thrown her toys out the pram because we didn't tell her we were going away, work messed up my pay at the end of September so I didn't get paid and it's been a nightmare to try and sort out etc.) Bring on the weekend where we're off to Devon!
On a SW / weight loss related note, I'm happy to say I only put on 1lb and that's probably due to star week arriving as soon as we returned. Back on it today so breakfast was branflakes and blueberries, lunch was chicken soup and carrot sticks and dinner is a beef bulgogi rice bowl with lots of veggies (carrot, spinach, peppers, onion) mixed in there too.

@Longwalker I love a filled soda! I also love wheaten bread, they used to sell it at Waitrose, but I can't get it any more. I also go mad for Tiffin chocolate, again something we can't get over here! My favourite biscuits are Kimberley biscuits but I think you can only buy them in the south? Good thing I can't get them here - although I think Amazon sell them.
I've started to use the SW app on my phone to plan my meals. I'm finding it easy to use at the moment. Hoping this might be better for me than trying to write it all down.
Today's plan
B half a muffin with scrambled egg
L veggie soup and 4 melba toasts (2 syns)
D SW chicken nuggets with SW chips and baked beans - I'm using the other half of the muffin for the crumb so the two together will be just under HEB as DH will have the other quarter (if you know what I mean).
HEA milk as always
Snacks 2 x HIfi bars (6 syns)

Welcome back @ruby_eskimo. Glad you had a great holiday and brilliant that you only put on a lb, well done. Sorry to hear the news re your DH's grandma.
Looks like another good day @MrsPorridge. Have you tried stirring some spinach through your scrambled eggs to up your speed a bit? I just use one frozen piece (defrosted in the microwave) between DH and I so not a lot but increases the amount of Speed into your diet.

Welcome back @ruby_eskimo. 😁 So pleased the wedding and your holiday went well. Congratulations on just gaining a tiny pound while you were away. You seem to be coping well with all the other stuff. 👍 Have a good time in Devon. @bubbs was there last week.
Glad you're finding the app useful for tracking @MrsPorridge. I've never tried it myself. Does it tell you that you're seriously low on Speed today? 🤔🤣 Do try to squeeze in some more, perhaps some fruit??
It's dry and bright here @joedenise but very chilly after the weather we've had. I decided to put the heating on after lunch. There's no point being cold and miserable.
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, bacon, eggs (P), HEA milk for drinks
L- ham (P), fried veg and pickles (S)
D- sausages, SW chips, baked beans (F), onions, mushrooms (S)
Syns - Aldi skinny sausages 12 -
Thanks for the tip on using spinach I will try that next time. Sadly the app doesn't say I'm low on speed! But I know I am. Its something I really need to work on - keep nagging ladies please it really helpsDebt free and Keeping on Track1
