"Fall into Autumn with SW"

Initially I’m aiming to lose 2 stone and once I reach that target I could do with another 1 stone loss – so in an ideal world I need to lose 3 stone. I am definitely in it for the long haul and I know its going to take a long time. I’m prepared for that. Already I feel this is the best “diet” I have ever done, I can’t even call it that, its healthy eating really. I am already eating far more fruit and veg than I have ever done so that is all good (I’m the wrong side of 60 so am thinking of the health benefits more than anything). DH is on board as well so no excuse really.
Yes, you are right about the drink – I like wine! But, I have already decided that next time I drink out I will have a gin a slim.
Ideally I want to lose 1lb a week, so by Christmas I will have lost a stone. I have now lost 4lbs over 3 weeks and after the gain am more determined than ever.
Today I got carried away with my OU studying and only have my overnight oats for breakfshort, (1 HEB) shortly I’ll be having some curry with rice. I am mad on those Tunnocks teacakes at the moment and they work out at 5 syns so I’m having one of those later on for my supper.
I was "good" this afternoon, we went for a walk at our local NT property and just had tea no cake! SW is having a knock on effect on MSE in that I'm actually saving money too

Afternoon all 😁
Another glorious day but can certainly feel the chill today, washing was almost dry 👏👏
Longwalker it just made me laugh and this was only 99p 😂
Maman i agree with what you say about normalizing something, was chocolate in our case, big bar after tea most nights, to start with it was to share, but then as the bars got smaller 1 each 🙈🙈 no wonder i needed to lose 5 st!! But chcolate is a trigger for me, i can have tonnes in the house but while it's not open it's not a problem, soon as it's open i HAVE to eat it!
I have never been a carby person as such, don't eat pasta anyway, think this stems from childhood as we never had pasta or rice was always meat and veg. But a sandwich or 3 was a different matter 🤣🤣 I very rarely eat bread now.

Hi all, another mad busy week at work and I’ve just not had a chance yet to catch up with posts. Sooo happy to be able to say every Friday that’s another week of work gone! I’m now down to 11 left ❤️
Lost another half pound this morning. Guess I’m in the tortoise group, definitely not a hare, but they all add up. Group was really inspiring this morning and I left really motivated. Have been good all day but meeting up with friends tonight and it could be dangerous 🤣 as we all like wine and a gin or two.

Well done on your half pound @Jellybaby 👏👏👏. They all count. 11 weeks and definitely counting that . 🤣👍
I had 3.5 stone to lose @MrsPorridge and I did it in just under a year. That's about a pound a week but mine had some larger losses and gains for holidays. 😁
I know I've been dithering for ever but I'm determined to get an air fryer. After the meeting with the architect yesterday I know cooking facilities will be limited some time next year so I need to be prepared. I think a Ninja will be best as, although there's only two of us, we like big meals. Which model do you have @bubbs? I'm sure you recommend it. 🤔2 -
Maman, i have an actifry but am currently looking for a dual tray but i am not spending out on a Nija, was looking at a tower dual last night.

I started in May and said 18lb - by next week as in this next week. No worries they said, be off within 8 weeks. They were wrong but I was right in knowing myself . I have lost more and thats a different storyIf you intend to lose 2 stone and call target, and aim to lose 3, you will be forever paying for meetings. This is where I am at the moment, knowing I can only go 3lb either way before I start to pay again and Im also struggling with do I want to be attending meetings 5 years on, stepping on the scales, struggling at times? And then I think last time I joined a group ( WW) I kept it off for years only this time I had the menopause , covid, depression and alcoholism to fight , last time I was in rehab and it was part of me doing things for myselfAnd I think their in lies the crux, right now I want the weight loss for the sons wedding, but I then have to find the truth in me as to how much I want it moving forwards.Ive a lot of thinking to do for sureIm so grateful that I dont have a sweet tooth , Ive my Christmas and Easter chocolate still here on top of the wardrobe. Not to say I dont get sudden cravings and I "need" to shovel It in. My bad news has always been bread. I could eat a crusty loaf in one sitting, or at least in a day, alone, no help required apart from the half pound of butter that went with it. I would say sure all Ive ate all day is four slices of bread an butter, probably more calories then a Big Mac mealSo I found out early on I had to stop feeding that need and now whilst I still like( love) bread, I feel what it does to me - bloating, wind, indigestion so now I naturally avoid. If nothing else, SW has broken my reach for the bread habit
Its difficultI was asked today by a lass in work, now you are at target ( not quite yet) how do you maintain? And tbh it was a toughie. Luckily I have embraced walking - 10 miles a day anyone? And have started cardio so Im according to my phone and watch, very active and have a fitness age 4 years younger. And Im enjoying it. I "think" if I keep with the programme till Christmas the good habits will become second nature and not thought about so maintenance will be easier
Anyways with a house and half full of guests , I did a full Northern Irish fry for 10 this morning, I had mushrooms, tomato, beans, and bacon. Did me a full shift in work. Got in at 5, really tired, and yes the urge to go get a take away was there , but I made us toasties - wholemeal bread, no fat and stuffed with left over baked beans, bacon and a sausage. Felt like I had had a pie or at least a Greggs bake , felt like a HUGE treat but was basically 1/2 a syn ( for the wee bit of sausage in my toastie )4 -
A quiet day here but did manage to get two loads of washing dried on the line.
It's the wee things

Im an air fryer lover Im afraid, 99.9 % of meals are cooked in the air fryers hereI have two - the Ninja dual drawer and the 15 in oneThe dual is great but there are cheaper brands out there that do the same, cosori being one that rates really highlyHowever the 15 in 1 is a completely different beast. And it is a beast, its huge and weighs a tonne, I had to buy a trolly for it to wheel it around the kitchen, out of sight when not needed, a good comfortable height when using, cos it seriously is HUGEBut its magnificentI love the PC function, its my go to when Im cooking the supper/dinner. Steam roast, the best joints of meat . I make yoghurt over night , I can make bread really easy, I can slow cook ( not the best function on it ) I seriously use it at least 5 days a week2
