Have internet at the moment, it’s not brilliant but ok. Glad you’re home safely @bubbs. Don’t blame you not paying tat for crisps I wouldn’t either!
well done @Longwalker on your 1.5 stone award. You don’t need to call target if you’re still in target range. Just go on holiday, enjoy yourself and then deal with any gain when you get back.

Well done on your loss @Longwalker. 👏👏👏 I'd just go and enjoy your time in Tuscany and then when you've lost the inevitable holiday gain you can decide whether to aim any lower. If your clothes are loose and the size you're happy with then you probably don't need a lower target. 🤔
Shame about the gain @MrsPorridge but, as you said, you know why. Definitely stick with keeping a diary. How much do you plan to lose overall?
Glad to hear you're home safely @bubbs and back on plan. I paid an arm and a leg for crisps yesterday but fortunately my prawn sandwiches were YS at 50p so balanced it off. Next time I'll be taking my own crisps. The prices are ridiculous. ☹️
Forecast here is good for the weekend @joedenise. 🤞the sun shines on you too.
We had a meeting with our architect about the kitchen extension this afternoon. I didn't feel like shopping afterwards but pushed myself so it's all done for the week. 👍

@ bubbs, my husband is the exact same. We were out for a meal tonight with the new family members and I went paid the bill whilst people were chatting away. Then when we got up to leave and peeps were like " what about the bill?" his nibs was going - "dont be worrying. all covered " and accepting the back claps and thanks and Im like (inside) Hold on, I paid on my account> So when he clocks what Im thinking says, dont worry, Ill pay you back - from the joint account lolBTW peeps, I had no problem about standing for the bill, id not have done it if I couldn't afford or want to - just men and money !!!Been so ruddy good again, was super busy today and it was 3pm before I managed to grab a bite, - a piece of cooked chicken from the other night . Dinner out and they had a specials board so I chose the fish tacos and a side of salt and chilli chips. Well I could only manage the one mini wrap (taco ) the fish was no more then 2 fish fingers and I probably managed about 1/3 of the chips but I lapped up the salads and slaws involved - could have ate more but I dunno about the rest of you but Im struggling with carbs now, get so bloated and uncomfortable , I should have gone for the Caesar salad but I wanted chipsI do rage at times about the restrictions of SW but I do have to say following the plan ( loosely in my case) has definitely weened me off the carbs. I was already low fallow salt, very little processed, but I was always carb high, double and even treble carbs all the time. I would always justify a crisp butty with "its all Ive had all day". But it was every day, sometimes two if I was really hungry. I am now actively searching out high protein foods to snack on, fill a hole, fill a gapI do miss crisps still. Not crisps but hot/spicy/crunchy ones mostly . So the ones I buy for Mr ls lunchbox dont shout to me, but if we are having friends in for a drink and the Doritos or similar and bought, the rest of the pack is going in my tummy1

@mrsporridge, I had to ditch the wine at the start. I like a drink, I drink wayyy too much but it is what it is, and I would never be able to have just one glass. Spirits are just three syns so its spirits I drink now. Even if I have a heavy night on the drink I rarely go above the syns on a week averageMy journey has been slow but its been a loss every week bar 2. One was a gain, one was a maintain, all the rest have been losses. Small ones most weeks but a lossButter also had to be ditched, I love it too much and I had to decide, use a lot of syns on butter or have a couple of drinks. I use the dairy lea lights as butter now - you can have 4 a day as a HEAI tend to split a HEA allowance so two dairy lea lights and 100ml of semi skimmed. I take just one coffee a day , I make my own, froth the milk, and spoon that on top living most of the steamed milk behind, more of a macchiato then a cappuccino , but I like it. Im not a tea drinker, perhaps one in a blue moon so my milk allowance is rarely used. Then my other HEA is HM ff greek yoghurt which I eat with berries and half an HEB - oat bran. I save the other half for a slice of Nevilles wholemeal if I need breadLike yourself Im also a veg dodger and Ive found that hard to increase. Like you - soup is a godsend for getting it in me, but I do like salad veggies and try to get a salad of some description in me every day. With dressings, Im lazy and reach for the fat free vinaigrette and the trick to not going overboard with that is to measure your tablespoon into a big bowl, tip your prepped salad on top and toss it about by shaking and flipping the bowl. Just putting a few slices of tomatoes , onions, cucumber on the plate beside a sandwich constitutes filling the plate with speedDont let the blip put you off. You have got this, it becomes second nature eventually so that when you do go out to eat its ok1

Good post @Longwalker. IMO the way to be successful long term is to find a way to make it work for you, to fit your lifestyle. It won't work if you treat it as a diet and feel deprived. That might be OK for a short term,to perhaps shift weight for an occasion, but if you go back to old habits the weight will pile back on. After all, eating (and drinking 😉) the way you did before is what makes you fat in the first place.
I think most people gain weight by normalising treats. So something which is OK in moderation becomes a daily habit. Personally, I decided to prioritise what I enjoy most. I'm not bothered about sweet stuff but I've cut out crisps and butter except for special occasions. As I eat so little bread, butter isn't an issue and by the time I've put eggs or beans on my toast I don't notice there's no butter. I've cut down hugely on cheese, although since SW introduced a second HEA I can enjoy Parmesan with my pasta. 😋

L- Spanish omelette (P, F, S) pickles (S)
