Sorry to hear about your mum @bubbs. Hopefully it's just the medication causing the problem and the GP will be able to prescribe something more suitable. ๐ค
The article I read was about small air fryers but they did say that Tower came out best for performance and VFM. I'd like a larger dual one too. You're the expert on bargains, where would you buy one? ๐ค1 -
Sorry to hear about your mum @bubbs. ย It certainly sounds as though it could be the medication. ย I'm sure her GP will be able to prescribe something different which will suit her better.
I've got a large halogen oven which works in a similar way to the air fryer which comes with a basket for cooking chips, a cage for cooking fish or sausages plus a rotisserie which I've never used! ย If I'm roasting a chicken for example I want the accompaniments to go with it so it's more sensible to use the oven, which is what I'm doing today with the lamb.

@bubbs sorry to hear about your Mum.ย @joedenise how annoying about the fridge.ย Thank you for the letting me know about the syns on the mayo!ย @maman I do love tomato sauces, thanks for the tips.Debt free and Keeping on Track1

I love rolled breast of lamb @joedenise. I know it can be fatty but it tastes so good and it's good value for lamb. ๐ I'll put it on the menu next week as I'm well away from WI. I usually unroll it and stuff with LM sausages and roll it up again.
I've read good reports about halogen ovens from people on the OS threads but I think air fryers may have taken over if you were buying something now and didn't already have the halogen oven ? ๐ค1 -

I suspect if the halogen packs up I'll end up with an air fryer. ย Don't really see halogen ovens very much now. ย But both will definitely save money as they use far less power than an oven, or even a hob.

Thanks everyone, she was bleeding badly , they did scans, blood tests etc everything perfect. She said she feels alot better for not taking the tablets.

Sorry to hear about your mum @bubbs. I know that every ย time ย mum gets new meds shes wrecked for a while. Right now shes suffering form her flu and covid jabs, not sleeping and that makes her stressed and ratty and her breathing is worseยIts not easy having oldies to care for, hardly being called young yourself ย ((HUGS))Ive pigged out all weekend tbh, after using up the left overs from the big breakfast for dinner last night, I had two sodas here so I went sod it, and we had filled sodas for brunch today. For those not knowing, a filled soda is a soda farl , toasted and then filled with two sausages, two bacon and a fried egg. I minimised the damage by no butter, no sausage, air fried bacon and a dry fried eggTea tonight was air fried BBQ chicken and salad, They had fried potatoes, I shied off because of the soda earlierยI feel so bloated though, bread is really killing me for sureยBack to work tomorrow and have yoghurt made, fruit waiting so I will at least start on a good footing. 10 to 2 shift so that can be challenging for me, having to leave at 9 and not home till 3, but they have pumpkin soup on the menu thats as thick as wallpaper paste so a cup of that will get me throughย1
