We've asked for a small automatic.  I only have an automatic licence so won't be any good if they try and give us a manual.  DH does drive it most of the time but his car is actually a BMW X3.  I'm insured to drive it but never actually have as the size of it terrifies me!

If it's not an auto then it will be no good to me.  DH will have to do all the driving!  Will let you know tomorrow what we get.

    Morning all,

DD and I went to the local Italian last night. I had mushroom risotto, coke zero and a mint tea. I did have a few brownie/flapjack bites when the outlaws came over though – much needed…..

Sorry to hear about your car @joedenise but at least the other driver stopped and admitted fault. I hope the hire car is suitable for you.

We too have a yappy dog in one of the gardens we back on to. DH has shouted over the fence before! So annoying but ours isn’t 24/7. I’d definitely have another word @bubbs

I’m in the office today and food is:

B – overnight oats, cherries, mullerlight vanilla – HEB, free, 0.5

    L – LO chicken biryani, banana, apple, 2 satsumas – free, S

D – chilli beef stirfry – new recipe from Fast Feasts – free

    HEA – milk

Syns – hi fi bar plus 0.5 so 3.5 total

DH is back from his camping trip this afternoon. We haven’t spoken since Thursday morning which feels very weird!

Morning all, bit misty this morning but not too bad.

DH picked up the hire car and it's a bit bigger than my car but not too bad sizewise.  It's a Vauxhall Corsa however I can't drive it as it's only in DH's name.  To be honest I'm not that bothered as I only use it to go to group on a Wednesday and had already decided I wasn't going this week.  We probably won't even use it and just use DH's BMW which will definitely be more comfortable!

I can imagine it must feel really weird not to have spoken to your DH since Thursday morning @Coxy11.  Don't think it's ever been that long when DH and I haven't spoken although when I was very ill in hospital back in 2012 I was in and out of consciousness for 3 weeks so probably didn't speak much then but that's a completely different scenario!

    Today's plan:

    B - kedgeree - P; S; F
    L - BLT - HEB; P; S; 0.5
    D - cold gammon, eggs, chips, fried up LO veg - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - LTL mayo 0.5

    Have a good day everyone.

My first reading @Coxy11 was that you hadn't spoken to your DH because he left you with the outlaws! 🤣 Good idea to go out for a meal with your DD. 👍🏼

Shame you won't be driving the car as you've got it @joedenise. I think I'd have to give it a go. I really enjoy driving but I've become a worse and worse passenger over the years. I think it's a control thing.

Can't remember exactly how many syns I have left after the weekend but I know it's far more than I plan to use, probably 30+ left. I'm really hoping to stay in range this week as we're eating out on Thursday after group so next week won't be as good. I've done all the right things so now it's just a case of 🤞🏼.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA1 milk for drinks, scrambled eggs (P), tomatoes (S)
L- ham (P), fried veg and pickles (P,S,F)
D- cold chicken (P), SW chips (F), garlic mushrooms (S, HEA2), green stuff, tomatoes (S)
    Syns- 0

Trouble is I can't give it a go even if I wanted to!  The hire company have only insured DH to drive it.  I'm quite used to DH doing most of the driving so won't be a problem as I'd already decided I'm not going to group every week as don't feel I need that accountability these days and quite honestly it's quite a long drive just for the hour of group.
