Waves hello to Thara. Coxy I hope your sore throat does not worsen, I have been drinking loads and dosing on paracetamol and keeping my fingers crossed. Mrs Porridge your pudding sounds yummy.
Weighed in at top of target range, pretty chuffed with that. Need to do a food plan tomorrow together with a SM order for Thursday.
The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

Well done @maddiemay. Still in range after a holiday is a great result! 👏👏👏
Great find for your mum @bubbs. Hope your back improves soon. Will you be OK to drive to Devon? 🤔0 -
Morning all, it's a bit grey here this morning but forecast to brighten up later. I still need to pop out to the local Tesco as have run out of yoghurt again! Also need some potatoes for mash - I've only got a couple of jackets (which is lunch tomorrow!) and some baby new potatoes (no idea when I'm going to use those as they came in the last TGTG bag so not currently in the plan).
Great result for your mum @bubbs find that money. Does seem strange if your dad didn't normally deal with money. Hope your back improves quickly. It won't be very comfortable driving at the weekend for your holiday if it doesn't. Are you self catering so that you can more or less stick to plan?
Hope you enjoyed your book @maman seeing as you got lost in it yesterday, LOL!
@MrsPorridge - when you make hummus next time try adding a roasted pepper from a jar to it. Gives it a lovely flavour and a nice colour!
Today has been the complete opposite for sleep to yesterday - woke up at 4am, dozed for an hour or so and then just laid there for another hour or so and finally gave up and got up just before 6.30!
Today's plan:
B - mushroom omelette - P; S
L - gammon salad sandwich - HEB; P; S; 0.5
D - beef stew with barley, mash - P; S; F
HEA - milk
H£B - bread
Syns - LTL mayo 0.5
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Morning all,
Offer is not an offer - rather a series of documents asking me to bring in 3 forms of ID, register with Occupational Health for a survey, diversity survey, personal details form, legal declaration (any convictions, malpractice etc.) No actual letter spelling out terms and conditions of annual leave or salary. The wait continues.
The Haunting in Venice film was okay - typical Agatha Christie where everyone's a suspect. It started at 8pm and was very dark/rainy so I was a nodding donkey a few times!
I am WFH today and tomorrow then off on Friday. Sore throat is no better or worse and like @joedenise I was awake stupid early but didn't get up until 6.30am alarm. I have some picture frames to collect from Waitrose today and will pick up dried mushrooms and some bacon for tonight's dinner of bolognaise risotto from the Comfort Zone book.
I too hope your back improves @bubbs, especially given you're driving all that way to your holiday.
@maman the wafers were these https://www.ocado.com/products/loacker-cremkakao-chocolate-wafer-274774011?gclid=fa738faf924f10fe64c4eab29efffae9&gclsrc=3p.ds&msclkid=fa738faf924f10fe64c4eab29efffae9
I didn't have the hifi bar on the way home as didn't need it. So finished the day on 13.5 syns.
Food today:
B - poached egg, mushrooms, spinach, 1 x WM toast - P, S, 1/2 HEB
L - JP (home baked), tuna, LTL mayo, pickles, banana, apple, 2 x satsumas - free, P, S, 1
D - bolognaise risotto, parmesan - free, HEA
HEA - milk
1/2 HEB - hi fi bar

I tried making the oaty pancakes for breakfast this morning - DH liked them but I didn't - if I'm going to have pancakes then I'll have proper ones!
B 1 tiny oaty pancake and then a muffin (HEB) and honey (2.5 syns)
L carrot soup and salad
D SW sausage, SW chips and beans.
Snacks will be fruit possibly another merangue nest (2.5 syns)
@joedenise thanks for the tip about the roasted red peppers in the humous.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
@MrsPorridge - did you whizz up the oats so it was flour-like? If not, try doing that next time. It makes a lot of difference and much more like a "normal" pancake rather than a more lumpy one! Have to admit I've not made them for a long time as DH isn't keen on them so I don't bother.
That's a lot of paperwork @Coxy11 and not even the T&Cs for the new job!

It's bright here too @joedenise, and no rain forecast for a week! Apparently it's going to be warmer here this weekend than Barcelona and Ibiza! 😎
Hope those wafers were worth it @Coxy11 and you did well to forego the hi-fi to offset them👍🏼. I'm glad it's not just me that nods off in the cinema. I'm the same in the theatre. There's something about sitting in the dark that makes me feel sleepy. 😊
There will be a few syns in that oat pancake @MrsPorridge but you have plenty to spare. I'm pleased to see you having some after us nagging you last week! 🤣 Good idea to snack on fruit as that'll be the only Speed in your day.
Did you go to WI this week @beanielou? Any wee gains/losses you're keeping to yourself? 🤔😉
I've been feeling slim and quite optimistic about WI tomorrow but last night I started to feel fat! I need STS (or any loss) to stay in target range. I know a small gain over 8 weeks is no big deal but ideally Id like to get lower down the range. Unfortunately, life has a habit of getting in the way!
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, eggs, bacon (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S), HEA1 milk for drinks
L- LO ham hash (P,S,F), veg and pickles (S)
D- Spaghetti Bolognese (P,S,F), HEA2 Parmesan
