Good morning @Coxy11 another one fighting the cold bug, in my case up at 03:30 to bathroom etc, then couldn't get back to sleep, cue large mug of tea, 1 slice of buttered toast (will Syn it) and propped up on a pile of pillows reading my book for an hour or so.
I had a day from hell yesterday which meant me being involved in a much loved one's very bitter divorce (I was asked and just could not refuse) It took 6 hours including travelling and much stress, came home with a banging headache - combination of stress and low blood sugar I think, I took food, but honestly did not expect to be away that long.

Looking forward to a gentle day today, checking in the shopping this morning, doing a food plan and perhaps concocting a version of one of those 2 recipes.

I hope everyone has a good day and that we all see some sunshine.

    Todays meal plan
B porridge and stewed apple (HEB and 1.5 syns)
L roast chicken dinner with roast spuds, roast parnips (using frylight), sprouts, stuffing (2.5 syns), Gravy (2 syns), cranberry sauce (2 syns), carrots and mashed (no butter) sweet potato.  Was yummy and really nice for a change.
D - although I doubt we will want anything - but if so then chicken salad.

Sorry to hear about the sore throats, coughs etc. with you both @Coxy11 and @maddiemay.  🤞🏼 that's all it is as there seems to be so much Covid about at the moment. It's so horrible when you can't sleep properly.

That's another good menu @MrsPorridge. Looks like you're having your Christmas dinner early! 🤣

We've had a good day here @joedenise, overcast at times but still dry and lovely in the sunshine.

Great news in that I went to WI and STS! 👍🏼 Of course, I'd like to have seen a loss but I'm still in range and can relax for another 8 weeks if needed. Phew! 😁

Out of interest, I went straight to my GP's surgery after WI (in my SW uniform!) to see what their machine said. It weighs almost half a pound (0.4) heavier than the SW scales. I thought it was worth knowing in case I want to check between WIs.

After WI I went to my walking group, then out for lunch. I made quite wise choices but probably more synful than if I'd made the same meal at home. I had bruschetta followed by shepherds pie. The pie had shredded lamb in the base which was delicious and it came with roast parsnip and broccoli. So syns will have been in the bread, any fat in the lamb or oil in cooking and gravy. Breakfast was my usual cereal before WI (Puffed Wheat) and I probably won't have any more food today.

Oh, I forgot about the glass of wine! 🤣

👏👏👏 on your STS @maman and well done on still being in target range.  Definitely handy to be able to use the GPs scales between WIs to check if you need to do a bit more damage limitation before the next WI!

Sounds a very nice lunch for eating out.  Not many places seem to serve things like that.

    Morning all,

Great news on STS @maman :)
Good luck for WI later @bubbs - that steak does look lush. I will take a look on Sunday when I shop!
Sorry you're getting drawn into relationship woes @maddiemay - not great :(

Cold is now full blown despite me taking meds, so lord knows how bad it could have gotten. I slept better last night though after having some jasmine green tea. I have to make a packed lunch to take with me to Alexandra Palace today as the food is extortionately expensive there.
