Morning all, another reasonably bright day with a little breeze so have got the towels washed and out on the line to dry. Don't think they'll take too long.
DH was feeling fine by lunchtime yesterday @maman and certainly enjoyed his sausage sandwich! I was quite happy with my toasted cheese and tomato one with the HM tomato and chilli jam. Had a load of green tomatoes so made a batch of green tomato chutney. The jars are now in the dark maturing - they need about a month before you can eat them. Will have to syn this one though as used sugar rather than sweetener in it. the tomato and chilli jam I used sweetener so it's syn free - and very nice it is too. Think I'm going to make another batch if I've got enough jars!
Today's plan:
B - fry up with no beans so an SP meal (told DH not to bother opening another tin and so he'll be having what he didn't have yesterday!). I'm going to have extra mushrooms - P; S; F; 2
L - burger, onions, gherkin slices in WM roll - HEB; S; 0.5
D - roast gammon, roast potatoes, roasted carrots, broccoli, green beans, peas - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - WM roll
Syns - sausages 2; burger 0.5; G&T jelly 0.5 (I'm syncing at 0.5 even though the whole pint of jelly is only 0.5!)
Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon all 😁My tablets are starting to kick in last night was night 4 and i splet so much better, so much that one side next door woke me up at 8 slamming the door!! Don't think he knows he does it, then i must have nodded off again and other side bloody barking dog woke me up at 9, it's constantly yapping, but i will be in my shed tomorrow before 8 😂😂 and they are noisy because they are metal, so they will be awake 😏
Maman, We are going Devon.
Just had LM sausage, tomato and baked bean egg wrap, 0.5 syns BBQ sauce
We have roast beef for tea, with a tonne of veg, yorkies 2 syns, gravy 4 syns, i will have baked apple with mincemeat for pudding hexb with sweet cinnamon ice cream.
I said to DH when we were shopping about the meat for today he said lets have beef we have not had it for ages, anyway picked a joint up, i said i'll slice it in half and freeze half, looked at the price, i said that's £20!! he said no we are not paying that and he is usually the sort of person if you want it, can afford it have it , but he said that's stupid!! then i looked at some more and it was £14, but still enough to cut in half.Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0 -
Ohh I would love to lose some weight from my chin and neck (more my neck really)!
Being organised today I've made two soups - pea and ham and carrot and pepper. Some we will eat this week, the rest for the freezer.
I also found a notebook and I've divided it up and am keeping my food diary in that - I found the diary they give you I didn't like the layout and it was too small and the diary in the book didn't have anywhere to put the syns and again was too small - I have scrawly large handwriting.
Today's meals
B/brunch was a SW sausage pattie (they are OK but I won't buy them again), tomatoes, mushrooms, scrambled egg and baked beans (all using frylight)
D prawn stir fry using an SW recipe and the sweet and sour SW cause I bought at Iceland. We will have that with noodles.
Snacks/puddings will be fruit and yoghurt
HEA will be milk
HEB will probably be a wholemeal muffin toasted with jam (1syn for the jam) - which I will probably have as a "supper" with a cuppa - toasted muffin or teacake are my weakness, so if I treat myself to a toasted wholemeal muffin with jam in the evenings I think that will really help me.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Yes, I do that too @MrsPorridge, I find a notebook far better than the SW forms. I find a week of meals fits fine on a double page and I rule a column on the right where I keep my syns total.
You're not talking about masses of syns for a toasted muffin and jam either so a good choice. 👍 Perhaps not every day this week though as you need to rein back the Thai meal and prosecco. 😁
When do you leave for Devon @bubbs? I thought you were going this week. 🤔Glad to hear you're sleeping better.
I agree about the cost of beef. Last week's joint was cut from a bigger one when it was on offer ages ago. Generally, we have medallions braised or a casserole with cubes. It must be strange having your DH with you when you go shopping.
It's dry here too @joedenise. I managed to clear all the washing on Friday but there's a few good days coming up this week again.
DH had baked beans with his ready meal when I was out last night so half a tin for my breakfast. I thought of having a prawn jacket for lunch but had another omelette as so much fresh stuff in the fridge to eat up. Another eggy day. 😁
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA milk, eggs (P) , baked beans (F)
L- Spanish omelette (P, F, S), ham (P), pickles (S)
D- roast chicken (P), SW roast potatoes, LM stuffing (F), many vegetables (S)
Syns - HM gravy 4, weekend wine 😊0 -
Hi all,
Glad you're sleeping better @bubbs despite your neighbours! That is insane for beef and the reason we rarely have it too.
The quiz night was really good - so funny - my Mum doing her best Mrs Malapropp impression. I took a pot of grapes, some carrot sticks and hummus and some melon and mango fingers. Bought the melon and mango home with me. Had diet coke as was driving. It's that funny area @joedenise might know - had to take the Medway tunnel to Rainham and it's like you're the only car on the road around the Isle of Grain? I was up at 6.45am to go to the car boot as not many decent Sundays left I expect. Got some bits to upsell for my charity fundraising so worth the early start.
Food has been terrible. Hi fi at the car boot, and a packet of lentil hoops after the Aldi shop. Bought flapjack and brownie bites to have with coffee as the outlaws have descended. MIL and FIL just left and BIL and SIL are on their way. DH has a lot to answer for going away this weekend and leaving me to deal!
I'm in the office tomorrow and Tuesday this week due to the train strike, so will sort out breakfast and lunch later.

I know the area a bit @Coxy11 but can't it's ever felt like we're the only car on the road!
Don't think I mentioned earlier in the week but a car came out of one of the caravan parks near where I live the other day and I had to brake hard to stop now need a new panel at the front! Fortunately he admitted liability so now all going through the insurance. We've got to go and pick up a hire car tomorrow morning and then the repairing garage are going to collect my car tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully it won't take too long as I hate driving other cars so will be doing as little driving as possible! Only time I really drive is to visit my friend which isn't too far - only about a 5 minute drive and going to group but think I probably won't go this week!
Your neighbour definitely needs to do something about the pup barking @bubbs. It's not a normal thing for dogs to do. She needs to tell it NO and mean it. It's just inconsiderate of your neighbour to let it just carry on barking. It really isn't too late to stop it barking but she needs to want to do it and be prepared to put the work in and it doesn't sound like she's bothered about it.0 -
Oh no @joedenise, that's infuriating about your car. ☹️ Not sure what you'll get as a courtesy car but when DH had one a while ago he was given a Fiat 500. Given that he usually drives a SUV he said he felt like Noddy driving in it! 🤣
Hope you really enjoyed your beef @bubbs and I'm sure the apple was delicious despite being extra caramelised. 😊0 -
Sorry about you car Denise
there is always an excuse about the dog, the birds, the squirrels, someone walking in the field behind, a car passing you get the drift, she has had complaints before.
Yes it was nice Maman
It's so hot here , it's not normal for october, we have all doors and windows open and fan on 😂 It;s 24 inside and 18 outsideSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0
