The Katsu curry was this one @joedenise
    https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/chicken-katsu-curry
I used ground almonds as already had them
in stock. It was nice - we didn’t do the salad though.

When you said about wind I thought you’d been eating that cheese melt again @bubbs 🤣

So sorry your DH was treated so shabbily - clearly she’s in the wrong job!

Step away from those biscuits @beanielou 🤣

Thanks @Coxy11.  I've added it onto my menu plan for towards the end of next month.

@bubbs - That GP doesn't sound a very good people person!  She treated your DH appallingly.  Still at least he got the sick note he needed!

Good luck for WI @MrsPorridge and @bubbs for tomorrow - and for anyone else weighing as well.

    Morning all,

I was up early to colour my hair - roots needed doing! Another WFH day. Boss isn't starting until 9.30am so a slower start for me. Making the most of it!

There is some fruit to use up, so that will be my breakfast today. I am walking with my bereaved friend at lunchtime. It's been 6 months and he is still struggling, linking everything back to his DMum. The latest thing is the car being scrapped due to ULEZ "it was very special to Mum". I'm thinking he needs to get some counselling so will suggest that.

    Food today:
B - Weetabix choc melts, blueberries, grapes, mullerlight vanilla - HEB, S, Free, 0.5
    L - Feta, beetroot, lettuce, pickles, 2 x Ryvita dark rye - HEA, S, 3
D - Oven baked Basa fillets*, SW chips, peas - 7.5, free
    HEA - milk
Syns - Hi fi bar plus 11 so 14 total - not great when it's WI tomorrow  :open_mouth:

*Frozen salt and pepper dusted fillets - didn't realise they had a light batter too :(

Morning all, the weather this morning is horrible!  Looks like it's been raining overnight as it's extremely puddly (is there such a word, LOL!?) out there.  At least it's not raining now.  Had planned on doing some washing today but definitely not going to bother as don't want wet washing hanging around the place - absolutely hate having to use the airer but if the weather doesn't improve over the weekend I'll have no choice as the washing basket is overflowing!

At least you are able to see a GP @bubbs - our doctors are still only doing phone calls if you're lucky!  If anything you're more likely to speak to a nurse or a paramedic.  I've spoken to an actual GP once in the last 3 years, other times have always been a nurse.  DH has spoken to a couple of nurses and a paramedic twice now but still no face to face appointments.  Good job hospitals are seeing patients as that's all our GPs seem to be doing - referring you to clinics and specialists.

Have ordered a Morrisons TGTG bag for this evening so will check what's in it so that I can hopefully cross off some of the things on my shopping list and then will drive into the main town and pick up anything else from Tesco.

    So today's plan:

    B - Toasted bacon and tomato sandwich - HEB; P; S
    L - Leek and potato soup - S; F
D - Sweet and sour chicken (using home grown tomatoes in the sauce), rice - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - none planned but no doubt will have something this evening!

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all,

I had the very same thought @Coxy11! sorry @bubbs 🤣🤣🤣 but made me giggle again lol.

I'm not a biscuit fan but those wee biscuits look amazing @beanielou

Roofer still not appeared to fix the gutter, guess in this weather he might be a bit busy but it does nothing for my anxiety seeing it swaying in the wind and thinking it's going to fall off at any minute!

A day in the office was cancelled late last night, good job I checked my emails this morning before packing my bag. So a day less of sitting in pointless meetings and I also save syns 🤣I was going to treat myself to a fancy coffee on the way in as a reward for said meetings!

    Today's food:
B - toast (HEB), lemon curd (4 syns will have to check)
L - tuna salad (1.5 syns for salad cream)
D - homemade burgers, chips, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes

    Have a good day everyone.

  • I lost 3lbs today - I'm delighted in fact I cannot believe it!

    Must really stay focussed now.

B - berries and ff yoghurt
    L - Carrot soup
D - slow cooker sausage casserole using 1syn sausages plus lots of veggies
    HEA milk
I might have a glass or two of prosecco later, we'll see!
