Sorry to hear about your break @maddiemay - sounds awful. I hope you are settled and safe really soon. Sounds like SW is the least of your worries xx
My last post meant to say "DH made the risotto on the HOB" in case you were wondering.....
DH off camping in Wales for the weekend. I hope Storm Agnes has passed on by now. DD and I will have a version of Katsu curry this evening which sees the chicken coated in 25g of ground almonds then baked. I didn't realise I could use my HEB for this so....
food today is:
B - poached egg, 2 skinny sausages, mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes, 1 x WM toast - P, 1, S, 1/2 HEB
L - 65g half fat feta, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, apple, satsumas - HEA, S
D - chicken katsu curry with brown rice - 1/2 HEB for almonds, 1 syn for flour in sauce
HEA - milk
Syns - hi fi bar plus 2 so 5 total

Morning all,
Well done on the fab losses @SingleSue and @joedenise
Thanks for the heads up on pickles @maman I'll look for some at the weekend as I get through a LOT of pickles
Storm Agnes wasn't too bad here but spotted a couple of broken brackets? that hold the downpipe secure so have called someone to come fix that. Always something!
Your comment on covid @Coxy11 stopped me in my tracks as I haven't any tests left. I don't even know if we can still buy them but feeling loads better this morning so think it was just a 24 hour bug thing.
Today's food:
B - bran flakes (HEB), strawberries, yoghurt 0.5 syns
L - leek and potato soup
D - crustless quiche, chips, salad
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Lovely to hear the weight losses.
My guilty food pleasure is toasted teacake and butter and I succumbed to it today - I checked in the books beforehand and I hope I'm right 10.5 syns (deduct 6 for HEXB) and I had two of the butter packs at 7g each so 14g which I have counted as 6 syns.
I also popped into Iceland as I was going to the big town to Hobbycraft for wool and fabric glue and got some SW chips (yes I know I can do my own, but its nice to have some handy in the freezer), I also got some sausage patties, sausages, sweet and sour sauce and chip shop curry sauce.
B - Berries and ff yoghurt
L - toasted teacake (HEXB) and 2 x butter packs (10.5 syns)
Snack - salad with speeds foods
D - sausage pattie, SW chips, mushy peas, and poached egg
Its my first WI tomorrow and I'm actually a bit worried, yes I do feel lighter and fnot so bloated, but I do seem to be eating much bigger meals than normal - but then I'm not snacking on chocolate and cakes and biscuits.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -

@Jellybaby, this is the red cabbage. 😊1 -
🤞 you'll see a good loss tomorrow @MrsPorridge.
Lots of people say they eat more on SW but you're eating healthily and, as you said, not snacking on too many treat foods. Don't worry about the teacake, that's what syns are for. 😁
Most days, I post toast as a HEB for breakfast but actually it's just half as it's the Aldi wholemeal loaf. Today I decided to have both slices.
Well done on using your time productively at the hospital @joedenise. You inspired me to redo my freezer inventory. 👍
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB (0.5) toast , bacon, egg (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
L- HEB (0.5), toast, mackerel in mustard sauce (P), pickles (S)
D- LO beef (P), mash, LO gravy (F), speed veg (S)
Syns - 0 although might have some horseradish 2?0 -
I ended up with chicken and salad for lunch as didn't really fancy steak. Wanted the Mediterranean salad but they'd run out so at least it saved me the syns for the dressing on that as the salad was plain. I was definitely very full after it! DH had a beef madras, pilau rice, garlic naan and a couple of popadoms! He also had my coleslaw which I didn't want.
@Coxy11 - what recipe are you using for Katsu curry? Fancy trying that and even better that you can use your HEB for the coating.
Didn't get much of the menu plan done @maman - DH was in and out in about 5 minutes! Did manage to get a little bit done though so at least I know most of what we're going to be eating over the weekend! Will try and get it finished this evening and/or tomorrow. I've already added a few things to my shopping list but no doubt it will be getting longer by the time I get it finished. Planning on using up some of the stews which are in the freezers. Was surprised I haven't actually got any chillis and only one bolognaise sauce in there so need to buy more mince to make some but not until I've used some of the stuff already in them!

We only had some strong wind in the night but it didn't wake me i heasrd it when i was coughing! I have developed the last couple of weeks this stupid cough but only at night, so then i think i'll have a drink of water, so i am either awake coughing or peeing! 🤣🤣 but this = knackered!!
I went doctors today about it, think it's gurd/reflux, so trying some tablets.
DH also had an appointment, i came out and said oh she's lovely, she was a witch to him 😂😂 she said i see people alot worse than you and they go to work, he said i guess you do but do they work in a busy warehouse on there feet 8 hrs a day ? she said ask for light duties..................as if it's that easy 🙄 He than said Occy health said i am not fit to work because of my eye as well, she tried to tell him nothing through about his eye, DH said yes there is as i rang about it yesterday and i am having laser treatment 26th October........oh well i will have to go and check it must be stuck mid air 🙄 but if occy health say you are not fit to work you don't need a sick note, he said i do as they are an outside company, she then says are you doing your exercises ? he said what exercises i have not been given any! What did the Physio say then? he said i am not touching it as i can see how painful it is.
By the time he came out he felt like a complete liar and an inch tallbut with a sick note till after his eye surgery.
