Greetings from wet and windy Cumbria, following on from equally wet and windy W Yorks last week, all been a right pain, had booked site cancelled then told OK to rebook and cancelled again whole site flooded, evacuated at 05:15 with 30 mins notice, we are lucky really, but does not feel like it as had set my heart on being there for the last break of the year.  SW plan gone to hell in a handcart so not looking forward to next WI, still nothing like a challenge? Grateful to have found somewhere else to stay and not travel in these winds.

Congratulations to @SingleSue and son, also @joedenise on your recent losses. @bubbs thanks for the great food pics, I wish you were feeding me.

    Keep safe all.

Bad to post when tired, might read we had to be evacuated from the lakeside, but never actually got to Keswick.

Morning all, think we've been really lucky here in the South East as not had the horrendous wind and rain that a lot of the country has seen.  We got a site cancelled at St Neots during the summer after some rain due to flooding.  It's a great site when it's dry but always cancelled in wet wether.  We've never even been able to book Keswick when we've tried - it always seems to be fully booked when we've tried!  Glad you're safe though even if the weather is atrocious.

We're off to Canterbury later for DH's CT scan this afternoon.  Driving down early and parking up in the Park and Ride and then we'll go into town for lunch before going to the hospital.  I'm going to do my freezer inventory and take my iPad with me and sort out my menu plan for next month while I'm waiting for him - probably won't be able to get it all done but at least I can make a start and it will kill a bit of time!

    So today's plan:

    B - weetabix, milk, fruit - part HEA2; HEB; S F
    L - eating out - will probably have steak, jacket and salad - P; S; F; 9
    D - Spanish rice - P; F; 3.5

    HEA1 & 2 - milk
    HEB - Weetabix
Syns - glass of wine 9; chorizo 3.5

    Have a good day everyone.
