You're right @maman I've done both syn bank and daily syns. At the moment I'm sticking to daily syns but as you say it doesn't seem to make much difference I still only lose 0.5lb at a time either way! I did the syn bank when I was drinking wine as always went over at the weekends with sharing a bottle with DH on Friday, Saturday and often Sunday as well so left me with just a few syns each day during the week. It worked for me at the time so that's what I did.

Morning everyone,
Food looks glorious as ever @bubbs x
I got some Wa!trose reduced fat Greek salad cheese yesterday during my lunch hour. Going to have it with the figs today. I can have 65g for a HEA which feels like loads!!! I need to pop out and collect a parcel from our local Wa!trose so will get some lettuce as we have none in.

L - 65g feta, figs, lettuce, tomatoes, 2 x dark rye Ryvita - HEA, free, S, 3

Morning all,
Figs could become hard to find by the weekend with us all heading out to buy 🤣
I used the last of the reduced cooked chicken I picked up at the weekend on DS2's sandwiches today, hope it's still OK (and him!).
Another busy WFH day. I've two colleagues off sick with no return dates in sight and our workloads are reaching completely unsustainable levels. I have a countdown mantra that is said quite a few times a day 😁
Today's food:
B - f/f Greek yoghurt, raspberries and strawberries
L - tomato and red pepper soup
D - chilli with rice and side salad
Have a good day everyone!0 -
Off out for a walk shortly but food for today
B scrambled egg
L tuna with tom ketchup (1 syn) and bread 1HEB and 3 syns and spring onions and lettuce
D potato and leek bake from recipe book plus baked beans and chicken with sprouts, cauliflower and broccoli (HEB for the cheese in the bake)
Snacks pear and greek ff yoghurtDebt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Good that you've sorted out how many syns for your HM bread on top of HEB @MrsPorridge. Obviously you've got plenty of syns to spare but it's surprising how extras can creep in without noticing.
I'm assuming you're using your other HEA for milk in drinks but, if not, you can afford to be generous with the cheese in your leek and potato bake. Let us know how you get on with that recipe as the ingredients sound tasty.
I seems there's a huge increase nationally in sickness absence @Jellybaby especially with continuing Covid and stress related illnesses. It makes it so tough for those left in work and creates a sort of vicious circle. Fortunately it won't be your problem after Christmas. 😁
I did have a chocolate (2.5 syns) yesterday but still plenty left until Thursday, when new week starts, and no real plans to use them other than on more chocolates. 🤣
I've got my dance class tonight so an extra bit of Body Magic. 👍🏼 Menu is a bit eggy today but really fancy an omelette at lunchtime.
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, eggs (P), baked beans (F)
L- Spanish omelette (P,F,S), pickles (S)
D- baked salmon (P), SW chips (F), green stuff, tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
Syns- tbc0 -
Afternoon all, the morning has just disappeared and not really done much other than my hairdresser coming in and trimming my hair and some shopping.
I managed to get the Schar ciabatta rolls so we'll be having garlic croutons in our salad today rather than walnuts. DH has also requested olives so will be bunging a few of those in too.
Have decided I'm going to WI in the morning to see if I've managed to stay in target while I've not been going. No reason why I shouldn't have as only one day off plan in the whole month and low syn the rest of that week!
Today's plan:
B - overnight oats - HEB; S; F
L - fig and feta salad - HEA2; S; F; 9
D - gammon, chips, beans - P; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - feta
HEB - oats
Syns - Schar ciabatta roll 5.5; olives 1; honey 0.5; olive oil 2
Have a good day everyone.0 -
All change for dinner! DS1 was out buying a few bits and pieces for moving into his flat next week and came in with salmon fillets reduced to 70p and packs of tender stem broccoli, carrots, shallots and tomatoes (more tomatoes 😒) at 20p each all from Mr M's. Baked salmon for us too now @maman with roasted veg. Could really do without the tomatoes but on the whole I've taught him well 😁0
