Morning all (just about!), went to pick up my new glasses this morning.  Was in there ages as one pair didn't feel the same as the other!  Supposed to be the same prescription but I couldn't read anything small and distance was quite blurry!  The optical assistant was very experienced and realised what the problem was - the 2nd pair were a flat frame and as I have astigmatism I need a more curved frame and she managed to bend them enough so that they are OK.  I still prefer the other pair so that pair are going to be my spare pair so hopefully won't be needed very often if at all.

Lovely sunrise @bubbs.  Your photos always look good - do you use a camera or is it the one on your phone?  I'm useless at taking photos - can't keep my hand still, LOL!

Good to see you posting again @maddiemay, sorry to hear you suffer with SAD, it must be awful for you.

As I went out early didn't have any breakfast so will be having Brunch shortly!  Plan for today:

    B/L - parsnip and pear soup followed by a sausage sandwich - HEB; S; F; 3
    D - lamb and butterbean tagine, couscous - P; S; F.

    HEA - milk.
    HEB - bread
Syns - low fat spread 3

No idea whether or not I'll get on while we're away as there isn't any wifi in the cottages, only in the reception area and not happy taking laptop into public areas.

Hope you're all having a good day.

Have a good time on the Island @joedenise. So pleased you got your new glasses just in time. You might even need 😎 tomorrow! 😁

I think I'm going to call this later working the 'scone shift' @Longwalker. 🤣 SW is far more suited to an earlier start. 😁

I've done my meal plan and will shop later. Tonight's meal is the only one I'm not in control of. I'm thinking they can't do much to add syns to salmon and new potatoes?? 🤔 Perhaps pan frying? We'll see. 🤞

I'm also out dancing on Sunday with a shared tea but I'll have lunch before I go and just pick on fruit.

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB (half) toast, egg, bacon (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
L- HEB (half) toast, sardines (F), pickles (S)
    D- tbc

I had to rearrange my appointment to pick up my glasses this morning as I was supposed to be picking them up on Monday and then we booked the holiday!  They had said they'd be ready today but DH had a hospital appointment booked but I couldn't remember what time so didn't' want to risk it but a couple of days ago they cancelled his hospital appointment because the consultant has got held up abroad!  Presumably he's on holiday!  Fortunately my glasses are transitions so don't need 😎!

Enjoy your meal out this evening.  You're right they can't do much to salmon and new potatoes although my restaurant we went to a while back and I ordered the salmon it came smothered in some creamy sauce so I sent it back and said I just wanted the plain grilled salmon fillet I'd ordered as I didn't want any sauce yet alone a creamy one on it!  Was very nice once I got it but of course DH had nearly finished his meal by the time I got mine.

Just wish the weather forecast hadn't changed quite so much since we booked the holiday.  When we booked it the weather was supposed to be mainly dry with just a couple of days of showery weather now it's the exact opposite!  Mainly showery weather with the odd dry day.  Still no doubt we'll still enjoy it but will need to try and find some indoor things to do rather than the walking we'd planned on doing.

Good luck for the necessary gain tomorrow @bubbs.  Sometimes I think it's worse dropping out of bottom end needing to gain than going out at the top and needing to lose again!  Quite honestly I don't like either.

Meant to say Linda Mccartney rosemary and red onion sausages are £1.25 in Sainsburys Nectar price. Cheaper than Aldi own brand.

@joedenise hope you have a good holiday.

I lost 2.5 lbs atWI today, so really chuffed with that. Another pound to go and I will have lost a stone, so hopefully next week.

    B ovenright oats
    L soup
D chicken curry and prosecco :)

Tomorrow night we are out at a friends  for dinner.  I'm planning overnight oats and soup and then I'm bringing pudding of Eve's pudding and Custard - I will have FF yoghurt with mine (I don't like custard).  I'll be back on plan on Sunday with a vengence.

Many congratulations on your loss @MrsPorridge. 👏👏👏 Enjoy yourself tomorrow, and then with a good week you should hit the stone at WI. 🤞

My evening was good. We'd booked a lovely room (traditional boardroom of a former bank) with caterers. It turned out that the preordring was so they could be sure of quantities. It was organised a bit like a carvery. Main course served and help yourself to sides.

My salmon was a portion from a poached whole salmon with a huge salad and potato tossed in mayo. I had seconds. skipped pudding and a couple of small glasses of wine . So, fewer syns than I'd have on an average Friday at home. 👍
