Morning all, what a horrible day, it's not raining at the moment but was very heavy overnight and it is still very wet and breezy out there at the moment. Looks like we might be in for more rain so think I'll leave the washing another day! I have to go and sit at DD1s house this afternoon as the Housing Association are sending in someone to check the gas appliances are safe as are the gas meters. She can't be there as she's on holiday in Tunisia - it's only about her 3rd holiday in the last 20 years and they were insistent it had to be done last week or this week! Not looking forward to that though as the appointment is for 12-5pm and knowing my luck it'll be nearer 5 than 12!
We've also got the mobile engineer coming this morning to fit the new fridge in the motorhome. We'll probably go down to Canterbury to try it out at the weekend as not been able to get away since it packed up.
@bubbs if you eat all that cheese bake on Saturday it'll still be way less than the syns on a pizza but will you enjoy it as much?
Today's plan:
B - scrambled eggs on toast - HEB; P
L - jacket potato, beans - F
D - mushroom stroganoff, rice - HEA2; S; F
Very little Speed today but it can't be helped - I've got to take my lunch with me to DD1s as it is so I'm not carrying salad as well!
Have a good day everyone.
Edit: Engineer has just messaged to say he can't come today as he's put his back out so taking a few days off and will be in touch to rearrange. So looks like we won't be going away for the weekend after all!

Morning all,
Weather is bright and very, very windy here so have a load of whites out but rain forecast for 2pmish, will need to keep an eye out.
WFH today and put a clean but old pair of 'house jeans' on, usually reserved for cleaning. They feel quite loose and are a bit baggy at the hips so taking that as a win and hopefully a good sign for WI on Saturday!
Was gifted eight pink lady apples last night. My favourites but not had in ages as they're bloomin expensive.
Today's food:
B - bran flakes (HEB), raspberries, strawberry yoghurt (0.5 syns)
L - tomato and red pepper soup, apple
D - l/over Hunter's chicken (HEA), roast potatoes and veg (DS2 didn't like it 🙄)
Have a good day all!0 -
Hi all,
Your US trip sounds fab @ruby_eskimo x
I was in the office yesterday and food was on plan although I did share some crisps with DD in the evening oops. We've started a new series on Disney+ for when DH is out.
Woke up this morning with a migraine - thought I was dreaming it at first, but no. Very wobbly getting into the shower and extremely nauseous. Had a couple of hours on the sofa and logged on to work late (I did message a colleague) Have just had some BOB toast with jam as couldn't face anything sooner and even the fruit bowl was turning my stomach.
Not sure about what I'll have for lunch. I need to pop to the Post Office and the fresh air will do me good, so may pick up something then. It's sunny here and I've put the washing on the line. Dinner is a 'girl dinner' of gammon, egg, chips and baked beans as DH is away overnight - yummy.
That cheese looks lovely @bubbs - what will you have with it - are you thinking something cracker-y? Could fry up some tinned potatoes and dip them in - the thought of that is making me feel ill but if I were well, that's what I would do!!
Annoying about the engineer @joedenise - at least you hadn't already made the trip to DDs house.
Have a good day all.

Morning all.
Hope you're feeling better soon @Coxy11 - migraines are horrible 😞
I'd do like a cheese board thing with that cheese bake @bubbs - hope you enjoy it!
Shame about not going away this weekend @joedenise, hope you can get it sorted soon!
Well done on the NSV with your jeans @Jellybaby
Can't wait for this week to be over with as work is being the usual mad self before I go on leave. Had some fruit (plums and apples) for breakfast, lunch was a tuna salad sandwich and dinner tonight is kimchi "fried" rice.

You may remember I posted a few weeks back on my dilemma on whether or not to join SW before my holiday. I took the decision to join after and tomorrow morning 9am is the day! I'm a bit nervous about what the scales will say, but am definitely in the right mindset now to do something positive about it. I have done shopping and have a meal plan all ready for next week - I am using some of the recipies from the magazine so am hoping to hit the ground running as they say.
I have made some overnight oats (using recipe from the mag) and they are now in the fridge. I plan to take them with me tomorrow and once weighed have them as my breakfast then. I hope its not frowned on to eat at the meeting? What do you think? Was going to eat it whilst the others are being weighed, not when the "leader" - is that the right term? It was for WW when I was with them about 30 years ago. Not when the leader is talking. If you think it not appropriate then I'll just eat them afterwards.

I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself once work is over and you're on your way @ruby_eskimo. I expect you've got to clear all the fresh food as you're away for 3 weeks.
How annoying about the fridge @joedenise, especially as this weekend's weather forecast is good. You'll have to stay home and do the washing instead! 🤣
I had the same lunch as yesterday. I thought of having beans with my JP but have had plenty this week already.
I agree about having wedges or chips with the @bubbs' cheese dip @Coxy11 . I'd want something more filling than carrot sticks unless it was for a starter. Hope your migraine clears and enjoy your dinner with DD. 😋
I always think jeans are a good indicator @Jellybaby. Well done on your NSV. 👍 Mine are a bit snug so think I'm probably over target. I think it's 2 weeks to next WI but que sera.
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs (P), tomatoes (S) , HEA 1 milk for drinks
L- JP (F), tuna (P), pickles (S)
D- cottage pie (P, S, F, HEA 2 cheese topping ), cauliflower, broccoli, cabbages (S)
Syns - mayo 20 -
Afternoon all
Coxy hope you are feeling better x
Denise that's a bummer about motorhome. No my tea on a Saturday is free, just hexa and b
Was lovely here this morning, very nippy only 9 first thing but got up to 20, then it spoilt itself about 3 with a real heavy shower!! but nice again now.
I have something different for tea i butterflied a chicken breat, laid a slice of ham on , mixed 1.5 hexa cheese spread and cheese between 2 of us, laid aspargus on top and then dusted with chicken rub, looks nice just waiting for it too cook.
I had pitta hexb, ham, cucumber and tomato, 2 figs for lunchSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
Change of plan for lunch - again! As the engineer wasn't coming DH decided to come to DD1s with me so I took the LO stew to have with the jacket potato, probably a bit more filling than the originally planned tuna! Sat there from 12 until 3.30pm when DD1 What's app'd with a letter they'd emailed her to say they're coming next Wednesday instead (although the letter made it sound like that was what was arranged anyway). DH rang them and told them what he thought of them and that they'll have to arrange something with DD1 when she's back from her holiday but it will be at least a month's time! She's on jury service from Monday next week and they've already sent her a letter to say she's been allocated to a 4 week trial! Her work are not impressed!!!!
Really annoyed by all this as I could have got my washing done today instead of sitting around doing nothing at DD1s! Still as you say @maman I've got the whole weekend to do it now, LOL!
Hope you're migraine has gone now @Coxy11.
The chicken breast sounds nice @bubbs. What's the chicken rub you've used? Didn't realise figs were in season as not seen any recently.
Welcome back from your holiday @MrsPorridge, I'm glad you've decided to join SW and us here on the thread. You can definitely eat your overnight oats once you've weighed and are waiting for the meeting to start. I used to do that when I went to a 9 o'clock group. Now I go at 10.30am I have breakfast at home before I go but as long as you do the same thing every week it doesn't really matter when you eat.
