Sorry that you are having so much pain today.
tyeres something remarkable about someone who can be in pain and still wear glitzy earrings.  Enjoy the Baileys .  No need-to get any any bottles for me for our Tuppence club lottery winning and/or premium bond winning party.  I loathe it and not even because I've previously over indulged In it and been ill (Pernod and black: watermelon Bacardi breeder and Sambucca are all guilty)
OMG 🤮Pernod and black chucked that up big style in the past, still can’t contemplate it 🤢 And don’t even ask about Cinzano and my 18th 🤮🤮 We learn the hard way 🤣
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • @Blackcats I very much feel like if everything else is s*** at least something should be good. The earrings have earnt their place. I am like an even more grizzled Pat Butcher

    Sending gentle hugs @beanielou

Baileys works better for pain (and tastes lovely) if you sling a single brandy in it - the House Troll and I both have EDS. Makes up for not being able to put gin instead of water in the water dispenser in the fridge any more because the HT's mates think it's a free bar. My drinking habits are fairly sedate these days but those of 18 and 19 year olds definitely aren't.

I just noticed my typo but perhaps a Barcadi Breeder was a Freudian slip 🍸
  • I'm catching up on diaries again 😀
I used to have bad period pain as a teenager, I got prescription painkillers for it. Giving up fizzy drinks made a big difference for me but it took a couple of months.
There is a program I used to use by a former wrestler called DDY where he has exercises for all ranges of mobility. Including people who are bed bound.
  • Still very sore but not as awful as yesterday, just need to try not to move my shoulder this week.

A slightly spendy morning but all for a good cause- I said I was craving something Quorn-y, probably need the protein for healing. Mr PIP said he'd get me a vegan sausage roll from Greggs, and obvs a sausage roll for himself to keep me company 😁
It was my turn to have a Greggs extra points promo offer so we got some steps and used my app, and that means I have a free pastry available in future too.
We were umming and ahhhing about entering the Costa comp as it necessitated a nearly £3 spend and I don't want to get in the habit of spending on competition entries, but we decided as a one-off it wasn't much more than a lottery ticket, and besides it was high time that as adults we learnt how to use a self-service coffee machine 😂 There was no code to scan on the machine so we were wondering if it had even registered, I looked when we got back and had to fill in a form and upload receipt pic, very glad I bothered to check!

Admin tidying comping, and entered a few more competitions; today I'm mostly looking forward to winning some nice tissues because it turns out I'm super rock n roll.

I have also entered to win a wallpaper voucher in the hope of manifesting planning permission. I suppose if I win and we don't get planning permission I can always wallpaper the council office's door closed as a protest. You can't be arrested for making things prettier, that's definitely the law. 'But officer, it's a paisley print, ignore the muffled shouting'

More steps going to get a bargain Lidl wine. I've also qualified for a free bakery loaf so will have to actually get up and go out in the morning one day soon so it's fresh

Mr PIP has gone off to do some Christmas shopping, so I am having a pint and doing the crossword:
'Evidently regretted having dashed off', six letters, anyone? I'm stuck!

    Erased?? ?🤔
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Erased?? ?🤔
Ooh that's a good suggestion, still not getting any other answers from it though.

A woman in the pub started doing my crossword without permission, most uncouth!
I wouldn't even have minded that much at this stage but gawd knows what crossword she was doing in her head because her answers did not relate to any crossword reality
