I don’t know why but I read cava as caviar 🤣 I thought you were being all posh 🤣 Cava is definitely better 👍

The council are shocking - and sadly they are in the position of power which they clearly abuse.  The continued failure to make and communicate a decision is appalling.  How on earth do they manage to make really big decisions if they can't get their act together on a planning request?  I'm furious on your behalf so I can't begin to imagine how you are feeling.
Hope you have cava and/or caviar and chutney in abundance for tonight.

  • Thank you for the support @Blackcats, I am also furious, and creeping nearer and nearer to becoming completely unhinged! We just want a modest home on land that is already owned by the family that's not intruding on anyone else. Apparently this is an impossible dream.

I am convinced that someone in the planning department stands to profit if we have no option but to sell the land cheap to a big developer company. Even councils can't be this inept for this long over a really not complicated enquiry
  • Speaking of being inept, I just remembered this pic I took on the tube earlier as I was staring vacantly at the seat opposite. Am I a born and bred Londoner? Yes. Do I regularly get the tube? Yes. Did I only realise today that the repeating seat design is the Houses of Parliament, London Eye, and St Pauls? Jeez lady 😂

  • Up at 7.50 to do work. On a Saturday, boo!

    But work done.

    And admin, comping, tidying

    And shower and hairwash

Cute outfit on. I don't think I mentioned my mse shopping from home 'advent calendar'. I was grumpily envious of ALL (a handful) of my friends having expensive beauty/choc/beer advent calendars so I went through my jewellery and got out lots of pieces I really like but rarely wear, and am trying to wear a piece a day even if I do look ridiculously extra. It is Christmas month after all! A nice way to have something 'new' every day, remember that items exist, and have a little glam boost.

I am going to list some bits on Vinted then Mr PIP and I will be getting a decent walk to recycle plastic packaging, consider the Christmas wine gift situation, and probably have a cheeky beer and do some financial planning (look at the lottery numbers)

Hope everyone is having a lovely Saturday. Only nine sleeps til Christmas, eek!

  • Successful trip out in that we got wine gifts for Mr PIP's parents, and were able to use up the last of a voucher on it. And we remembered that shopmium has a free Primula offer again so we each bought one of those.

Less good was my shoulder(/shoulder blade/chest/neck/arm/hand) going absolutely mad pain-wise. Not ideal for being in one of the busiest parts of London on a Saturday late afternoon.
I felt like I was going to faint or at least sob with pain. Had to have a little sit down in M&S like an old lady 😭
Went for a beer, largely cos I needed the loo but also I didn't want to let EDS ruin mine and Mr PIPs time. We did not win the lottery.

Back home now, Mum and Mr PIP are in charge of dinner, I'm having a very large glass of Baileys whilst wincing at every little movement and trying not to sulk...
it's not faaaaaaair, why can't I have a chronic pain condition and a property to have it in, or no property yet but not a ton of pain and thus the ability to earn. *sulks*

P.S. my advent calendar earrings still look excellent even with the loungewear I've tenderly changed into

Sorry that you are having so much pain today.
tyeres something remarkable about someone who can be in pain and still wear glitzy earrings.  Enjoy the Baileys .  No need-to get any any bottles for me for our Tuppence club lottery winning and/or premium bond winning party.  I loathe it and not even because I've previously over indulged In it and been ill (Pernod and black: watermelon Bacardi breeder and Sambucca are all guilty)
