  • Cheers @lucielle and @beanielou

Job done, awaiting response notes from client

Shower and hairwash done, shoulder not at all happy about it

    Admin, comping, couple of surveys

Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning a Molton Brown hamper

Got some steps meeting Mr PIP to pick up a pile of 15 books (Mr PIP carried them!) from Olio, lots of novels I'm really looking forward to reading, and we also picked up some Olio posh breads on the way back

Christmas stuff will have to be a grumpy last minute session which is annoying having started so organised, but nothing I can do about pain and impact on energy and ability so if it needs to be a bit last minute then so be it. Only two things left to get

  • What a numpty

OK - Tube geekery for you. The design is called "Barman" - and not only features the landmarks that you quite correctly spotted, but also Tower Bridge is in there too (I know, I'm struggling with that one!) It was designed by Wallace Sewell who have also been responsible for a number of other designs on the underground including most recently the Elizabeth Line. The Bakerloo line also uses "Barman" for its seats, but in it's own specific colourway.

  • I thought it was unusual you hadn't commented on the tube design @EssexHebridean 😂
I reckon they've just said Tower Bridge is in there for a laugh

I have moments where I can spot it in there, and moments where I am left thinking I must have imagined it ever being there. I have a hunch that somewhere there exists a sketch where the Wallace Sewell people actually showed what falls where...

For days when you are really struggling with hairwashing, remember that just standing under hot running water will probably help make it look and feel fresher. Another option I found worked for me when I had a rotator cuff injury and couldn't get an arm above my head normally was kneeling down with my head forward to deal with shampooing - somehow that was more comfortable in spite of still theoretically needing to get my arms in the same position - maybe something to do with gravity helping.

well done on washing your hair - I hate it when the universe tells me that my hair is lank and greasy and always feel better when it shines and glistens with no frizz and emits the luxurious scent of summer stardust and morning dew (just like wot the advert told me it would - 21 of 11000 women agreed according to the small print
  • 😂 you're so cynical about advertising @Blackcats, dont forget that 10 of those 11000 women found their true love, won the lottery, and lost a stone in weight overnight because of the shampoo's added drop of unicorn tears

Today's mse bits, with an added dollop of pre-Christmas panic

Client job, usual admin comping tidying

Decent walk with Mr PIP picking up an Olio book on simple DIY (I'm still manifesting planning permission 😁) and using up the last of my Lidl voucher on essential bits

Also looked in a few places for a bottle of Baileys for Christmas day at mum's request and they were either not on a deal or not on a deal and sold out...

Eventually found a bottle in Sainsburys Local for £13 which was much better than the other shops. Should probably have stocked up more when it was on the £10 deal but then we would probably have drank it by now anyway!

    Found 5p on the street

Had a yoghurt drink with lunch that Mr PIP got free when they were handing them out at the station

Annoyingly the place that said two weeks ago they'd be getting the beer I wanted for Mr PIP's stocking, today said they weren't, and I don't have time to start going round London in the hope somewhere has one so will have to think of a few extra bits for his stocking that I can get in the next few days! Got £4 left so maybe a lottery ticket and... um...

Did a couple of Olio listings for sale in case of last minute local gift buying but took the advice of @beanielou to hold off from Vinteds for now

Did the laundry then went with Mr PIP to Lidl to get a bottle of the bargain wine in and a bottle of the bargain prosecco @EssexHebridean mentioned

    Found another 55p

Having a couple of Christmas drinks with family friends this eve, will have beans on Olio toast when we get in

I wanted to get Mr PIP some nice cheese and crackers as part of his Christmas present but have been putting it off on the grounds of use by date/not being able to keep it in the fridge without him seeing it. So I think I'm going to have to pay transport fares and brave central London a few days before Christmas 😭

On the plus side central London at Christmas is so beautiful 😍 I haven’t been since the start of the pandemic and am getting withdrawal symptoms ☹️

In the past I was misled by the advert “things happen after a Badedas bath” - nope they don’t 🤣
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • They didn't specify which things though @Sun_Addict! More laundry accumulating, bath needing to be cleaned, skin wrinkling and giving you fear in the bathroom mirror, loads of things happen after baths 😂

I wouldn't want to deprive you of central London at Christmas so absolutely go by with my list, I'm generous like that 😁
