Don't want tp preach to the converted but have you thought of private physio to help with the shoulder?
Even one session could help & give you tools to manage with.
    ( have physio every week).

  • Can't afford it unfortunately @beanielou but I have physio exercises I do daily. There's not really much that can be done if connective tissue, well, doesn't! Just tough luck, bah.
Glad you have a regular session
  • Had an hour of reading in bed then did some minor but useful household tasks.

Vet finally got in touch, fortunately they've not found any toxins or infection in the samples. Not sure what's causing jaundice or anaemia but they said since no sign of cancer it's up to us if we want to give him another anaesthetic and do liver samples or keep an eye on him- and not let him out unsupervised in case he's eating something dodgy- and take him in for a check up in a month. We've opted for the latter as he seems fine in himself and he's only just had an anaesthetic, poor thing. So an ongoing situation but very relieved no nasties found.

Had an apple instead of the chocolates I wanted

Thought I'd have a lower calorie hot chocolate but couldn't find it as everything still in boxes as housing association dragging their feet about last bits of work.
Spilled a box of nuts and just about managed not to chuck it out the window. NOT TODAY BOX OF NUTS
Had a consolatory hot ribena instead. Calories don't count if there's vitamin C

Did the Wealthify comp and a couple of surveys and have done an outline of the complaint to the housing ombudsman about the waiting times to hear about last flat and homelessness.
Will have to go back over it when I'm in a slightly better mood and take out all the pompous woe is me bits but at least a start has been made.

Definitely not doing wussy situps as don't want my shoulder to actually fall off. Not feeling inclined to go for a walk or shower either but I should make myself do the bare minimum. Will sit resentfully for a bit then either do it or sack it off and have to accept it.
Should really attempt some work too. What a lot of things I don't want to do!

Hi Pennysintopounds, Just dropping in to say not to be too hard on yourself. The limbo stage re accommodation, being able to set up home with Mr PiP, plus daily pain from your joint condition would be enough to get anyone down at times, I'm sure. I don't think any of us in the 'Tuppence Club' would think that you were moany or negative. We all have days where we feel like flinging nuts at the wall (hopefully not the sort which are attached to people) & who amongst us could genuinely say that they love doing sit-ups? Not me for sure. I don't think I could even perform a sit-up with Mr F holding my feet to the floor these days! There are a few of us on here managing various health concerns - me included after all the tests/scans shenanigans of this year - & absolutely all of us will have days where we just feel like going into sweary fish-wife mode.....I have fishwives in my ancestry, so feel I can use the term without prejudice. I have always been known for my eloquence on paper - upset me in real life & it's a bit different. A teacher, on overhearing me delivering a highly witty put-down to a fellow pupil, said "Sarcasm, Foxgloves, is the very lowest form of wit". I had never heard this phrase before (I was about 11 or 12) & sat jaw-agape as I thought how much I utterly disagreed with it. I know I still tend to deal with difficult situations, people or my own moods by going into leery mode, but that's the point I'm making. We all have these days. It is normal & we mustn't beat ourselves up about it.
Hoping you hear from the Council soon. Even if it is a 'no', at least you will know & be able to research other possible avenues. All this waiting must be very frustrating.
I was pleased to hear that your cat doesn't appear to have any nasties. I am quite a tough cookie on the whole, but I am not good around the whole area of poorly beloved cats.
Just got to keep on b*ggering on, PiP,

  • Thank you for your kind and always welcome words @foxgloves. I bet that teacher was laughing internally.
And thank you @beanielou, it's such a relief to know we're not looking at anything too grim with the dear old boy. He won't be best pleased about not being allowed out to pretend to all the neighbours he hasn't been fed in weeks!
  • Made myself shower and wash my hair.
Managed to flood the bathroom floor.

    Shoulder screaming.
I am done with attempts at productivity today.

Mr PIP is back with cats this evening, mum is out for the evening. I have put nice perfume on, I have put nice earrings on, I have ruined the effect with an owl onesie.

And now I am going to do absolutely nothing except have a glass of wine, a vaguely nutritious dinner, absolutely some chocolate, and read my books/stare at Instagram wondering why they all seem to live in the exact same house.

Hopefully I'll feel better in body and mind for travelling tomorrow

I think earrings and perfume will certainly enhance an owl onesie (can't do it any harm can they?).  Wine and chocolate are perfect accompaniments to your onesie soirée.
news from the vets sounds ok - not the whole answer but not the dreaded answer.
hope your aches are less achy tomorrow.
I agree with @foxgloves - I'm fairly sure that there are very few, if any, members of the Tuppence Club who willingly do sit-ups, even wussy sit-ups.
  • Thanks @Blackcats, and I can't lie, 'cosy glam goth tellytubby' is a strong look, loving my onesie outfit
