  • Absolutely beautiful @beanielou, that's how a send off should be. Apparently that was his family getting up to have a dance to his song at his funeral at the end. I cried and smiled the whole way through

  • Unimpressed at being awake at 730am but bit less crampy than yesterday so some things have got dun:

    Yougov survey
    Lidl receipt survey
No coop receipt survey- they've gone back to only one a week, boo

A friend refunded me some money I'd loaned them when they couldn't get the e-ticket to work for my mum's concert, and sent me money for a couple of birthday pints as she couldn't make my drinks months and months ago! So sweet of her

Doctor has re-registered me without palaver, hooray!

Council tax will not be sending a letter with my name on I can use as proof of address as not my tenancy but will be happy to take my money 🙄

    Tidying, washing up, etc

    Opiniumiumium survey
    Admin and comping

Not being sure how Insta works I changed my settings to allow everything in case of winning a comp and have promptly changed them back, I do not need a notification at 1am that a person I don't know has joined instagram thank you

    Shower and hairwash

Norstat product trying survey which will hopefully pay £6

Booked a couple of days away next week as my mum had said she'd pay as part of my birthday gift (months and months ago 😁), didn't think I'd be able to find time but thought sod it, I can work and attend to life admin somewhere scenic in peace! Going to catch up with a local mate while there and really looking forward to hopefully walks and books and wine and being by myself in a lovely way in a nice space

Did my walk to Lidl for a bottle of the bargain wine and used my friend's kind birthday drinks money for a couple of beers and a frankly dreadful attempt at the crossword.
I'll have to miss the last day of the bargainous wine offer when I'm away but think on balance I can cope with the 30p loss compared with Aldi own brand to gain a paid-for break

Have not done Vinted listings as I've been very brave and booked to do a car boot sale tomorrow, Mr PIP will meet me there so I just need to pack random stuff this eve and give my joints plenty of time to lug the suitcase there in the morning. It's within walking distance so not too bad as long as I get up in good time, and we all know how great I am with early starts so it'll definitely be fine 😂

Good luck with the boot sale - hope there are lots of buyers with lots of money to spend.
we did one at the end of the summer - cleared quite a few items which was good.  We didn't make a fortune but as we had been procrastinating about doing a boot sale for approx 6 years we felt pleased with ourselves.
seems like you are getting some lovely belated birthday treats which you definitely deserve.
  • Cheers @Blackcats, we're not expecting to make much but anything above the float and pitch fee will go in the flat pot, and if it's a disappointing sales day hopefully we'll at least get some unused items cleared and someone will enjoy them. Well done for doing yours, we did do some in summer but it's still strangely intimidating!
And thank you for your kind words. I've got so used to existing at a certain stress level that it's very peculiar allowing myself- whisper it in case I take fright- some small nice things because other people think I deserve them. I'm not comfortable with this at all 😁

Good luck with the car boot sale today.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Cheers me dear @Sun_Addict, weather forecast is atrocious and my shoulder's gone mad but other than that all looking good 😂
  • A weird nights sleep of angry anxiety but up with good vibes at 730am. Think the imminent decision about planning permission, combined with me not trusting in the slightest it will be imminent, is playing with my head

Tidy admin comping, made sure to get a few portions of F&V in

Took my time and lugged the suitcase as lightly as possible. Shoulders still not best pleased though

Car boot sale profit of £8.10 which will go in the flat pot. Everyone there said it was slow, but that's British weather for you. Money in the flat pot is money in the flat pot, and we had a nice although tiring time!

Mr PIP and I went for beer and catch-up after, which was very nice, although I did fall foul of Whamageddon. A nice lady gave us each a slice of her birthday cake though so that made up for it 😁

This evening is fridge pizza and garlic bread as we feel we deserve tasty stodgy calories (and have avoided a take-away) and a very early night!

  • The very best place for finding money is in hotel lobby sofas and chairs, checking down the sides. I used to travel on a really tight budget and I would find a lot of money that way. 25 pounds one time in London. Kept me going until my father could put more money into the bank in the US so I could withdraw it in England.
