Aww, @PennysIntoPounds - Hope you haven't felt too horribly dire today. Sending sympathies, as I do not miss the monthly woes of period time at all. I always suffered too, more so through the peri-menopause & it was such a blessed relief when the damned things finally stopped. Naturally the final one arrived unexpected in full drama-queen deluge mode in the middle of Sainsbury's! But I remember all too well trying to get into work, all that monthly codeine. Hope you have taken it easy today & are having a gentle evening.

P.S - My phone didn't like the word 'codeine' & suggested I was trying to spell 'cocaine'! That's some leap for spellcheck!

  • Thanks @foxgloves, thats typical period behaviour isn't it, bursting into the room in a red sequined ballgown belting out 'I Am What I Am' with no thought for the poor mortal trying to go about their business.

I react really badly to codeine so cocaine might be better, though not too helpful for the intended early night! My autocorrect suggested 'coffins' which is taking it a bit far as a solution 😁

I don’t miss period pains either, they used to be horrendous. But all that was solved by not only having two kids but having an early menopause in my 40s with thankfully no symptoms other than no more periods 🥳 I think that was a fair exchange.

Fingers crossed for good news from the vets and on the planning permission 🤞

  • Cheers @Sun_Addict, praying for an early (and symptom-free) menopause!

Mr PIP is now giving the cat four meals a day and of course rather than being sated let alone appreciative, the cat is aghast that it's not five, six, or infinite meals 😁
  • Thanks @beanielou, the council has been s*** getting back to us for years about this so I'm certainly not getting my hopes up for next week. If it happens, hopefully it will be a yes as we'll be living in an extremely small flat for the rest of our lives otherwise, but if it's a no, at least we won't ever have to have anything to do with this absolute waste of space council ever again!

I really hope that get the right decision before Christmas.  There must be positive vibes from all around the nation for a YES answer.
hope your period pain has subsided.
Its very hard to refuse a persistent cat, especially a cat that you are worried about.  Maybe just give them a few more morsels - you know you want to!
  • Ta @Blackcats, I appreciate knowing that Team Tuppence is rooting for us!
Period pains have been doused in various painkillers and red wine and hopefully will let me sleep well tonight.
Cat always gets another morsel, we're soft touches!
