I'm not sure if Hammerton have a taproom they sell from? Actually - scrub that, just googled, they do, AND they have a pub too - I've be surprised if you weren't able to buy a can from one or the other (and now I want to visit so I can buy some as well!)
Since we're discussing what sounds like it is turning into an MSE virtual Christmas party, I'm more than happy to eat a mince pie or several, no longer do red wine (awful the next day even if I only have half a glass) but will be delighted to join those who are drinking prosecco or cava, thank you! As for snacks - if we could steer clear of salt & vinegar crisps unless they are posh ones, I'd be grateful - I'm allergic to your bog standard W@1kers/G01den W0nder types...🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Did the surveys and receipt surveys yesterday eve, today's doings:
Admin, tidying, a few Olio relistings
Started gathering info for the next round of 'Why won't the council give us an answer about planning permission?!' enquiries that inevitably lead to nowhere while we become increasingly less able to afford to do it anyway
Entered omaze, I know it's a tenner but for a chance to have a home of one's own...
Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning 2k but I would also like some posh skincare products
Received a £4 chocolate voucher from that email I sent ages ago about the torn Maltesers packet, so that cheered me up. Let's think about weight loss another time 😁
Tried to make progress with the iPad.
Did not make progress with the iPad.
Did some (as yet unpaid) work notes. Glad to have discovered comping as there's so little work around at the moment, at least I feel like I'm doing something that might be of some small use
Progressed getting council tax sorted
Small local walk, joints hurting and weary so while annoying to not get more steps, just need to protect my body as much as possible at the moment
Had a lie-down and a read (yes it is productive! 😂)
Dinner will be use-it-up bits. Mr PIP coming over tomorrow so will stock up on grub then. He says the cat has recovered well enough to have emptied the bin in case there was anything he wanted to eat in there

I've emailed their pub asking if they have single cans in stock, it's not too far from me but too far to go on the off-chance. I expect I'll need a pint or two to recover from the journey1 -
I only went and had a little productive flurry:
Signed up to a sampling site
Followed up on my complaint to housing association as they once again hadn't got back to me within their stated timeframe
Decided about half the 'emergency rent/occupancy charges threat' money would be allocated to bolstering the current account so I don't need to ruin savings as soon, though I'm keeping it where it is for now as slightly better interest rate
And I moved the other approx half to the flat pot to make it a round £4000!
I know that's not a huge amount of money to most people but it's over half what I earn a year (yes, shamefully) and it is all since March from putting the vast bulk of any of my small premium bonds wins in, doing a ton of frankly quite dull surveys, and spending a LOT of time and energy doing boot sales plus listing and packing and sending things to sell for a couple of quid, so I'm actually going to take a moment and be proud of myself.
Only another 96k to go to be able to get a tiny place in a not great area, in middle age with a chronic pain condition 😂💪

That's a great achievement! Well done!
I don't like cheese and onion crisps so I don't think a multipack of crisps will be an MSE win at your premium bond winners party. I still have very bad memories from many, many years ago at a youth club of a boy attempting a snog after he'd eaten a bag of cheese and onion crisps - not an experience I ever want to repeat. Not that I'm implying that this sort of thing would happen at your party but I can't take any risks where cheese and onion crisps are concerned.Seems like the consensus seems to be for cava/Prosecco. It's a limited buffet so far but but I'm sure it will be a fun event.1
