We had a lovely time out, a pint of cask beer there is £6.75 but we all got a few pints and some crisps out of the £50 tab!
Still better than in Liverpool where my friend went for work for the Labour Conference and got charged £30 for a beer and a G&T
Made the most of the tube fare by popping into Waterstones while I was in the area and getting mum's diary as part of her Christmas present
Feeling a bit rough today with period pains but have managed:

Well done on another PB win 🥳 The hamper would be very nice indeed so fingers crossed 🤞
Great news the build is progressing. It’s much further on than I thought. I was under the impression it was just foundations. I hope all the associated 🤬 gets sorted and moving in is on the not too distant horizon.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -

Do any of you baking people have a recommendation for a cake filling syringe thingy?
All the ones I can find seem to be for cupcakes but Mr PIP wants one for big cakes, will they be big enough/long enough?https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

Literally a syringe type thing to put extra dollops of flavouring in/along the middle of the cake so it has a 'layer' but without having to put that 'layer' in before baking the while thing @foxgloves, like how you get cupcakes with gooey centres but something that would suit a big cake. It might be the same implement would be fine, I'm just too un-bakey to buy without advice!https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

I used to have one of those cake syringes so know what you mean. Not that I’ve ever been a cake maker by any stretch of the imagination but can vaguely recollect using one many years ago.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

I’m not a baker but I’ve had a look on Temu as it’s cheap!! They have got turkey basting syringes that say they are also for baking. The needles look quite thick and are long. They aren’t very expensive but you need to an order of £15 minimum but they are sold everywhere. Worth a look to see if it is what you had in mind xxPennysIntoPounds said:Literally a syringe type thing to put extra dollops of flavouring in/along the middle of the cake so it has a 'layer' but without having to put that 'layer' in before baking the while thing @foxgloves, like how you get cupcakes with gooey centres but something that would suit a big cake.
