I'm having a splurge on using up free toiletries atm too, @PiP. I will frankly be glad to see the back of some products I was sent to test several months ago, but couldn't justify the waste of binning them. I also seem to have had a good year for being given free samples, minis, which is nice, but they are invariably sheet masks, scrubs, hair masks, etc, which of course I will use, but I'd always prefer to receive freebies/samples of cleansers, moisturisers & things I use on a daily basis. Nevertheless, I do intend to use up all the skin treatments, etc, so I should be glowing by Christmas!

Im down to the last bottle of body lotion From last Xmas. Told my DS just to buy me some toiletries for Xmas and nothing expensive. Not had any freebies for ages, will have to look around.

Ooh you won't even need to spend on Christmas lights given how much you'll be glowing @foxgloves, very mse 😁
I love it when gifts last so long @amber03, money saving and you get to enjoy being given a bit of a gift every time 😊
Though don't be mugging yourself by not requesting something specific if you'd prefer it, I think most people like a bit of help with gift buying!https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase/p1

Walls and a roof - now THAT is super exciting! Lack of means of payment less so, but I have huge amounts of faith in your ability to magic up a build budget out of nowhere - just think how well you've done on it so far!

I agree with sending analogue letters. I tend to type / print them rather than handwrite them but I do like receiving them 😊
Hope the pasta was good!

I don’t think I’ve had a handwritten letter in years. What a treatMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!2
