Side eye from postie here. We would very much like to deliver post. We are prevented from doing so by many factors including a delusional belief that nobody gets post anymore, people buying carp online and sending it back and the fact that our bosses are delusional about the effect that doing the job at the pace we have to do it has on us.

Your work is appreciated and applauded @WelshmansDaughter
I just wish the institution wouldn't pretend we get post more than once or twice a week when this has not in fact happened for many a year!https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

Thanks @doingitanyway. I expect the lack of consistent post in this area is due to them barely being able to get in the sorting office what with all the extra hampers wot I have won that are just stacking up over time 😁
Cheers @amber03, absolutely. What with the state of the world, the country, awfulness in the news, energy bills, and the cost of living, any wee bits of good luck are very much welcome for adding a bit of balm.
