Thanks @LadyWithAPlan, the build movement consists of constantly working out when we'll be down to our last few hundred quid (scarily soon) so more wins ending with multiple 0s very much welcome 😂😭🤞

Definitely not finalising anything @doingitanyway, presume LaPlan meant finally some movement!

We are up to waiting on searches/waiting for sh*t solicitor to update land registry/waiting for good solicitor to tell us if we need to do anything on mortgage conditions before lender will lend/waiting on council to tell us what we need to do and pay re Community Infrastructure Levy/waiting to hear from inspectors if we need windows and doors before they will sign off next stage, hopefully not as we can't afford them/hoping builder doesn't present us with another bill anytime soon!

Thanks DIA, Mum offered Mr PIP accommodation and train fare costs for his birthday which is very lovely of her, no way we'd be able to afford to go away for a few days otherwise

We had a nice few days away though it did consist of lots of build admin!

The airbnb hosts live upstairs and woke us up at 7am every morning stomping around and having loud conversations, which isn't my idea of a holiday, but I have got all my admin done since I was awake anyway so I'm feeling productive if not rested.

Got back, did catching up bits and pieces, now extending the holiday by going for a beer in this unexpected sun, and getting chips for dinner

Build is being utterly unreasonable and very stressful in every way, so will do some listings while at pub, no relaxing for build adminers!

There was a 'friends couple' in the pub garden (who I overheard have just finished uni) and they literally sat there for well over two hours without buying a single drink.
It is a sunny Friday after work, so many people were coming to see if there was space to sit and going away again.
They seemed like nice enough people from my earwigging but I am shocked at the entitlement. I thought young people these days were meant to be super on it about supporting small businesses and being self aware about everyone's contributory role in society. So incredibly rude. Or I'm incredibly old.

I'm in agreement. That is not on. It is a business not a park bench!

It is rude.  A few years ago someone would have been there asking them what they wanted to drink.  I have seen people on the benches outside my local eating sandwiches from a packet with no drink in sight.  They daren't say anything because if they do they will get badmouthed & lose more custom.
