An in-between phase

It seriously is pretty much a full time job @beanielou, we have oft said that if this build ever gets built, we will need to be proper conscious of how we adjust to not having the stressy adrenalin of our actual jobs, our build admin jobs, and our any side hustle for a few quid jobs, not running concurrently.
It's all very well stepping up to the plate, with occasional breakdowns, to achieve a goal, but it is now so many years of necessary learnt behaviour to cope with being incredibly stressed all the time, we'll need to manage how to cope with not being this stressed!
Still, not a pressing problem, as it is all an absolute state and we are very stressed 😂https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

Not a hugely productive day, think we're knackered from travel and build admin. And it's the anniversary of my friend dying from MND. How on earth has it been a year? I'm trying to honour his vibe with beer and crossword and gratitude, but it's hard to feel very life motivated with a layer of sadness over your heart isn't it.
Still, I am grateful for having had him in my life for so many years, and for tasty beer and being able to enjoy it, and for the ability to do crosswords. Bloody miss him though 🍻

It's hard when good people die and MND is particularly cruel.
An annoying olio walk but good exercise all the same...
Your food always sounds comforting and lovely (although I am gluten free and lacto intolerant so mac cheese in reality...)

I can't believe it's a year since you lost your friend, PiP. These are sad anniversaries, but it's good that beer & crossword-doing was performed in his honour.

Well I needed some steps and I got them @doingitanyway!
My sympathies on the lacto (and gluten). I get jittery if I eat a meal that doesn't involve cheese 😁
There's gluten free pasta and Gary (vegan cheese) etc, get involved 💪
Absolutely @beanielou 🥂
It really doesn't feel like a whole year @foxgloves
Still makes me smile that he could do the Times cryptic every day but couldn't make any sense of the one in the free paper I do. Just goes to show it's all about the setter you're used to and not one's innate ability!https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

Remembering those who have gone is hard. I can only say try to remember themgood not the passing. I deliberately make a an effort not to remember the date of friends and relatives deaths but try to honour them in my thoughts throughout the year.I know I am weird in this but it is my way of coping with loss. The exception is my Mums birthday when I always have yellow flowers in the house. Yellow because her favourite season was spring.3
