Think where you would be if you hadn't inherited the 20k. It has served you well!
'You are with the angle grinders now' LOL
Enjoy reviewing the wineIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Hopefully parting with all this money will be worth it in the end 🤞 How awful to have to review a bottle of wine 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

We are definitely very grateful @doingitanyway! It's just such a large sum of money to have to part with, sob. It looked so pretty in my bank account.
Very much enjoying reviewing the wine 😁 Although actually @Sun_Addict it was a worrying task, I have been so brave and hard working 😂
I was genuinely worried it was going to be awful as the brand is J*m Sh*d and another brand that is great on all their other wines has a particularly foul jammy wine, so we're now deeply suspicious of anything with jam mentioned, which is a shame for J*m Sh*d as I expect they had their business name before lots of people tried the awful one of the other brand. This wine is actually lovely but as a dedicated professional influencer researcher I will have a wee nightcap just to make sure my initial impressions were accurate.https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

Apart from a lunchtime walk getting essentials from aldi and a small carpet walk as I needed to move, I have spent the entire full day doing build admin. Chasing build admin, paying for build admin, answering queries about build admin, paying unexpected costs arising in build admin.
My organised budget list is in chaos 😂
Oh, also did some build admin.
I am cream crackered!https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

As you know from my thread, a build on the land here is on my goals list but I read your tales and I am less certain
Perhaps I should just move
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
Oh dear PiP, all day sounds tough. It is Friday. Surely a walk to your local is called for?If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Hopefully one day in the not too distant future the build admin will result in a home to move into 🙏I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

It being your land that doesn't need splitting, and you living 'on site' will diminish many of the delays and costs we've had @Watty1. And we've just had a very unfortunate constant run of people being incompetent, everyone cant be like this or nothing would ever get built!
And much as I adore the potential of Lamb Paddock 😁, would it be a wee bit of a shame to move when you've been pondering that build for so long and might be able to actually make it happen now what with your council contacts and them seeming more enthused than previously? Then if you did want to move presumably you'd get a fair whack more money for having done the build...
Equally I stand by everyone's right to sack something off if they're not feeling it anymore!https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

I am on the sofa in my comfies with a glass of rosè and will not be budging @doingitanyway 😁🥂
Oh gawd I hope so @Sun_Addict. I was saying to my mum earlier that everyone must think I'm so ungrateful and grumpy because they say 'this is exciting' and I just go 'well then you can bloody pay for it and spend your entire time stressed about if there'll be enough money to stretch to get to the next costly and stressful bit without it all going to sh*t'. Funnily enough no-one's taken me up on the offer 🤔😁https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase
