Sorry to hear about your hamstring. I’ve done something to my ankle this evening so you have enhanced sympathy from here.

Ouch to the hamstring. Hope it can improve soon.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Boo to the hamstring. Is that the one up the back of the calf? If so, I once b*ggered mine lunging across the room in 2 leaps to rescue a past cat (who had the mind of a criminal genius) from escaping from a top window in his cone of shame. Really painful. Hope it improves very soon.

  • Thanks @Watty1 and @foxgloves. Its the muscles at the back of the thigh connecting knee to hip foxgloves, though I think I b*ggered the tendons at the back of the knee and put the hamstring and hip out, though my subsequent ministry of silly walks probably contributed!

Thought I was going to cry from pain walking back yesterday so am confined to barracks today, gentle carpet walks only but started the day with one so that felt vaguely productive

Oh thanks PiP, as I'd completely forgotten about the alarm test.

Ooh that sounds blooming painful 😞 Hope it eases soon. Can you class it as a sporting injury as you often hear of footballers having hamstring issues.

Last time they did an alarm test we missed it as we were in Greece. I hope those who have a second phone for safety reasons have put theirs on airplane mode or switched off.

Oh definitely a sporting injury @Sun_Addict, it must have been vulnerable from all my athletic endeavours. There's the walking to and from the fridge, the opening and closing of the cupboard where the chocolate goes, the twisting of the wine bottle caps not to mention the occasional use of the corkscrew. It's a wonder I'm still competing to be honest, but when you have this much innate athletic talent you have to cherish your gift

Yes, hope no-one vulnerable will be caught out. They do seem to have publicised it widely and for a good while so 🤞
