Got paid a bit for invigilating which is very confusing as I'm sure I'm not owed anything. Have sent it to the invigilating tax pot in case I get asked for it back at end of tax year. Obvs couldn't resist skimming a bit off for build pot though

Mmmmmm I love Turkish food. That's one of the downsides to living in the hills, only chip shops Chinese food or Indian food. I really want moussaka now. I hope it's as delicious as I'm imagining it to be. Enjoy!

@PIP Ha Ha!! I managed to work that out - that's my limit though! Even though my mum was Welsh, she couldn't speak the language. They didn't teach Welsh at school in her part of Wales 100 years ago & although her parents were Welsh, they only spoke English.

Same @kayannie , I had the choice of French or German at high school but my younger brother and sister learnt some Welsh in high school.

Started day with a bit of a wobble as feeling overwhelmed at just how much there is to still do and sort out, but no bad vibes on a Sunday.
Think we're just fully exhausted, after half a decade of build stress and then how knackering it is moving, to then still have a ton of stuff to do is rather pushing it!

Got a message from an old friend saying they'd taken an overdose a few weeks ago and could I give them medical advice because they're scared of what damage they've done. So spent a while trying to objectively read and research and filter and communicate that information.

After that my brain and body decided they were definitely not doing anything else today whether I liked it or not!

Time for sofa beer on the daybed with a Discworld, got spuds and veg ready to boil and roast.

You gave medical advice about the effects of an overdose …? I think I would have gently referred them to their GP …

And yes, you will be feeling utterly overwhelmed and exhausted. You have been flat out and stressed for a very long time. Is there anyway the two of you could have a break - Mr PiP and you both book a week off and go and do touristy, staycation things? Go to galleries, wander up and down the Thames and have lunch out (you could even take a pack up?), get library books and read on the new day bed etc etc. Or even get out of town altogether and go and visit a willing friend? A break might be just what you need.

Can you plan a pamper day or afternoon? Slap a face pack on read on the day bed (looks very comfy) and have a cheeky beer?

Not medical advice as to what to do @KajiKita, rather, she was reading bad things and was really worried and needed someone who she knows is good at understanding and interpreting factual medical things to tell her if she needed to be as worried as she was. Fact-based reassurance from a level headed friend, definitely not diagnoses! She has also been gently told to contact GP tomorrow, especially as it does not sound like she got good support at the time or on an ongoing basis.

Thank you and @lucielle for the self care suggestions. Any leave/time away from daily productivity needs to be spent on getting this bloody build finished! I'm sure we'll feel much better after an early night or two. And it's good that we're not being suddenly plunged into a lifestyle of not having a million things to constantly do and stress about, we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves 😂
