  • You're right @beanielou but he had smugness in his tone and after the best part of 40 years having to listen to men being pleased with themselves for being pr*cks everywhere you turn, I trust my instinct when in context a man is being a pr*ck.

I might be overreacting but I am very very fed up of people (90% male) being pr*cks. Anyhoo he did not get the dessert 😂

And yes I know that psychologically I'm taking out anger and frustration about the build and wider society on this random man, but also he definitely was pleased with himself for pouncing on an opportunity to correct a stranger and is a pr*ck

Would he have said that if you had been male?  Thought not.  100% brought it on himself.

PiP, is cosy mash and beans really cheesy mash and beans? It sounds lush either way...

  • It has gone proper depths of autumnalness here @beanielou, cosy comfort food is a must 🍂

Keeps us amused and motivates us for steps @KajiKita 😁 And there's always the slim chance I'll be able to report back that we won the 100k!

You know me too well @doingitanyway 😂 Of course there was cheddar in it, and we had a wee bit of roquefort that needed using up so we're feeling very fancy

  • A good start to the day as Thames finally got back and said we could have lower bills here, hooray!

This will be handy as we need an extra £400 for warranty insurance.
And we realised we do actually need the 2k we thought we could cover. Ho hum. I'm not bothering to get stressed about it though I retain the right to have a sulk!

Lots of build chasing, would be nice if we can actually accept our mortgage offer, how long can it possibly take a group of professionals to tell us some basic facts?! (Best part of a month and counting apparently!)

Half hour walk getting some pasta from olio

Received a free bottle of shiraz to review

Free exercise of half wussy situps

    Shower using free toiletries

Survey, vinted, client money to usual pots

    £131.50/10k

Transferred the 20k I inherited to pay the next builders bill tomorrow.

Walk getting some greetings cards from olio.

Went for a pint to raise a glass to loved ones, and to mourn my 20k 😂 Thank you 20k, you brought joy and light and beauty, rest in someone else's bank account, you're with the angle grinders now 🍻
