😁 well done @EssexHebridean. I meant to mention to you my high praise for Vault City's Raspberry Cream Soda sour, what a summer find
I do like the Vault City sours - had a Strawberry Sundae one in a pub in south London a few weeks ago that was lovely, and snagged a Y/S'd can of winter Berry Crumble which was utterly ridiculously crumble-like!

  • Noooo I'm sorry @Sun_Addict, I thought you and the dog would be merrily basking on the sunbed (well, you on the ground next to it 😁)

@doingitanyway 'take in' is con, like fool or cheat someone, and 'offers' is tenders, like bids or putting out a proposition people can apply for

That Berry Crumble sounds gorgeous @EssexHebridean, will have to keep my eye out for it

  • One of those niggly annoying days where nothing is simple, but resolved or progressed things to the best of my ability and only sulked a very small amount!

    Also managed:

    Usuals
    Half wussy situps
    Shower and hairwash
    Small carpet walk
    Bit of build admin
    Spec work

Got a free box of Clipper blackcurrant and blueberry tea to review

We're having cheese and onion baguettes for dinner as it is hot and we're pretending we're on our holibobs 😁

Ooh I love baguettes but I associate them with beer or wine?
Some days are like wading through treacle but we do what we can...
If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

  • Beer or wine will not be a problem @doingitanyway 😁

Ooo I love that clipper tea  which I mostly snaffle from hospitality trays in hotel rooms.
i've also had a mini, private sulk/strop today whilst doing sums to give to my accountant which doesn't quite feel like a correct distribution of skills and qualifications.  Well I hope my accountant progressed further with their maths than my C Grade O level  🤷‍♀️
  • Ha likewise @Blackcats, tried it and it was really nice. I felt a wholesome person for all of ten minutes. Well done doing the accountancy which you're apparently paying someone else to do. Welcome to blimmin build world! Barely a day goes by where we're not doing work we have no understanding of and have paid someone else thousands of pounds to do 😐

If you want to know the numbers ask a bookkeeper.  If you want the answer ask an accountant.
  • In the case of the build @badmemory it's 'If you want to know the numbers work them out yourself, if you want to know the answers your guess is apparently as good as anyones and in both cases despite you doing all the work expect to be a few thousand quid out of pocket each day' 😂😭

I once met an accountant that freely admitted he had failed O level maths. I am glad I wasnt his client.
