Slept for a ludicrously long time, could have done more but thought I'd better get up while it was still morning!

    Usuals

    Shower and hairwash

Got paid for last months invigilating, how exciting. Can't touch it until I've worked out what is going on with this employment role and being self-assessment freelance with other jobs though, don't want to make myself cry by realising I owe more tax than I thought!

£50 survey cashout to usual pots

50 minute walk with Mr PIP getting free lidl muffin and a couple of discounted soaps (that we need anyway) for a competition! Beer on way back and dinner is a delicious smelling pasta bake with loadsa garlic and some roquefort that needed using up in the sauce

Hope everyone is having a good weekend 🥂

Can anyone help me with a crossword clue please?

They compete to take in offers (10 letters)

    _ _ _ _ _ N _ F _ S

Not 100% on the F, confident on the N and S

    Would contenders fit?

I surprised myself by actually managing to give MrEH some constructive assistance with his cryptic crossword the other week. Probably surprised him more, mind you!

I don't do crosswords but trying to understand them. I can see that contenders compete but what is the significance of 'take in offers'
Invigilating and a walk to your mums. You have done well today  :)
