I think more than a handful follow the ups and downs of PiPs Progress. You are a pilgrim moving from ‘This world, To That Which Is To Come”! I think an undiscovered John Bunyan original of ‘PiPs Progress’ is hiding in a maiden aunts attic somewhere just waiting to be discovered. 😁

I check in on your diary every couple of days hoping to pop to the pub or pick up an Olio delight with you. Keep it up. Not boring at all. 👍

  • Well if you're ever considering getting one maybe a Neil Young singles night should be your first port of call @southern_chick 😂

Aw that's such a sweet memory @WelshmansDaughter. Though has anyone ever actually checked that they're not spelling out 'systolic, diastolic, systolic, diastolic' 🤔

That's so nice @Slowdown, thank you. And I'm very much appreciating the romantic, cultured re-imagining of 'skint grumpy middle aged working class bird with chronic pain condition has a continuous whinge' 😂❤️
  • I am getting woken up by huge machinery 6 days a week  at 8am ....... and I live high so rare to hear the birds over that
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

  • That is very much not great @LadyWithAPlan. Is it at all connected to the ghastly people trying to harass you and your blockmates out?
We are fortunate to have trees outside our high up flat, which we are very grateful for, just not me at awful o'clock on Sunday morning 😁
  • Feeling somewhat ropey with period today but as I had a little anti Blue Monday rant on @Blackcats lovely cosy thread I had to put my money where my mouth is and try to smash it today!

Debobbled a jumper (top tip for you, this is quicker and more effective when you remember to take the protective cap off first)
Walk with Mr PIP for beer (with camra discount). Got pizza deal from Sainsers for dinner (very much looking forward to the mozzarella sticks too), and a p!zza express pizza reduced from 5.50 to 1.39. Mmm, much pizza-y goodness 😁

Hope everyone has a fabulous so-called Blue Monday evening filled with all the lovely things 😊

30 minute walk, found a big pile of books and a disposable bbq (may have got a bit over-enthusiastic about the idea it might ever be summer again 😁)

Well blow me, HMRC have only gone and resolved my complaint. After a decade 😂
And they're apparently sending me £100 compensation!

    Tedious ebbay listing
Walk with Mr PIP, picked up some more books from the neighbours

Four missed calls from bank in two days. What do these people not understand about 'don't call me'?!
If you must call, leave a message telling me what it is that you want and leave an email address 😁 I'll be reverting back to making a complaint at this rate.

Dinner is pasta and using up open jar of cupboard sauce, w00t. And of course loadsa cheese
  • Hurrah for the compensation, although I am sure it doesn't cover the negative mental energy it has taken over the years.
