  • That's disappointing @badmemory, I haven't come across any crumbly brie issues. Could make a wonderful topping on a mac cheese though!

There speaks the eternal optimist.  Said with a sob in her voice - I just wanted it on my specially bought for Christmas biscuits.  I have a mild (sinus type) allergy to cheese so very rarely buy it.  I just wanted my allergy to be worth it if you see what I mean.

Never boring PIP.  Always look forward to reading about your day.
  • Always read your diary. Don’t very often comment. It is never boring. It’s always well written and humorous even when life throws you a lot of challenges. Don’t stop writing you have a lot more support than you realise 💕💕 xx

I know exactly what you mean, I am the same with dairy.

Yeah to cheaper decent pub - lots of my friends looking at where we meet and the drinks cost now whereas before we weren’t that bothered
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

  • Hello @Spendywendywoo, lovely to meet you, thanks for joining in.  Good name, it has made me smile. What has prompted you to go from mse lurker to signing up?

    Aw cheers @Blackcats

That's really kind @southern_chick thank you. Always lovely to see you. And whenever I see your name I get 'Southern Man' by Neil Young in my head which is a nice bonus!

I know @LadyWithAPlan, so many places just charging silly prices now and not even for anything particularly decent

  • Woke up at a horribly early hour for a Sunday, due to radiator coming on and clanking, then when I thought I might be able to drift off, a bird had such big news that it couldn't wait till dawnbreak to tell everyone, at great length, in what sounded like the rapid typing of morse code.
I gave up entirely when a fast asleep Mr PIP warmed his freezing cold backside on my previously warm flesh 😂

£5.80 from survey cashout to flat pot. So that 30p has stopped annoying me, now need 3.50 to get to next £10 mark

Sent family friend a won £1 off at spar voucher as none near here

Saved money on Sunday paper, shopping, and pub beer by simply not bothering to go outside at all.

An hour carpet walk in dribs and drabs.

Day was spent largely reading my book on the sofa, and trying not to scoff the lemon drizzle cake Mr PIP made before it was ready

Dinner is yellow sticker new potatoes mixed with aldi onions and green beans family friends left here. And salad cream and loadsa cheese
