Out to get the train to meet friends for a walk and beers
Shocking how much more it costs to get the train rather than TfL transport even when still in London,
@LadyWithAPlan might be worth doing some serious calculations about cost of travel over the years versus flat size prices if you're still considering South East London
But worth the spend, lovely to see pals, lovely to have a two hour amble in the autumnal woods, lovely to have a few pints of well kept cask beer after
Dinner was using up some pre-cooked spuds for quick roasting with some Yorkshire puds and peas from the freezer. Been meaning to defrost it for a while now, maybe November will be the month!

Yes trains are expensive..
SE London is I think off my list - dont want to do trains into London Bridge. I like the overground but not great for central London where I go out
I may look Brixton outskirts was as at least a late tube etc..
Otherwise heading back to look N London, or extreme end Elizabeth line both sides!
Sorting out a new job first though .. I cant see me getting a flat sorted before the SD changes so..
I am loving the brown and gold leaves everywhere, had a walk through primrose hill/st johns wood over the weekend and its gloriousDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Roast dinner, autumn walks and nice beer - all good! The colours this autumn seem to be lovely everywhere - nice to be back to that after last year's slightly muted autumn, as I recall!
As for travel costs, avoiding South of the river in favour of the civilised areas with decent tube coverage is the way round that...🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

It's so difficult @LadyWithAPlan, ridiculous that people have to make home buying decisions taking into account if they can afford public transport and whether there even is any. Especially in the blimmin capital city of the country!
I'd still keep an eye on East, pros and cons compared to North but worth seeing if something suitable comes up
You're not wrong @EssexHebridean, as long as one can afford rent or mortgage in the civilised climes 😁4 -
Oh dear, I appear to have had such a wholesome time yesterday that I have zenned myself into inactivity. Note to self; never relax 😂

Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning another hamper
20 minute walk with Mr PIP for a post work beer. Lovely admiring the dusk and the silhouettes of the trees
Mr PIP utilised vouchers earlier to get us the Sainsers meal deal so it is mac cheese ahoy
Can someone please explain to me again how to do strikethrough on here?

The third item above leave a comment - so bold, italic, strikethrough.

Mine shows 'spoiler, code, quote, heading 2'.
I pressed them all and none do strikethrough! Is everyone apart from me on the mse app rather than t'internet?1 -
On mine that is the sixth item. I probably wouldn't recognise an app if it jumped up & bit me. I do this on my computer.
