Having an internal quandary of whether ketchup or salad cream is the right condiment for this meal3 -
Yoghurt and mint dressing for me please (the cheap one in the squirty bottle- have never been brave enough to read the ingredients.) Love saute spuds with nice crusty golden bits. Might have to have some tomorrow. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Sounds like a plateful in need of a drizzle of my homemade blackberry ketchup, PiP.
I was actually evicted from a survey yesterday for not buying enough condiments! We do buy mayonnaise, mustard, tartare sauce & Worcester sauce, but I pretty much make everything else.
I rarely make mayonnaise but we learned to do it at achool (Food & Nutrition O'-level). I recall a new girl (who we thought was soppy) asked us how to crack an egg & we said to bash it on her wrist, which she did & it ran up her sleeve.

I would have ketchup on one side of the plate and mayonnaise on the other, then I can choose the appropriate condiment for each mouthful 😉
I differently think you should buy a gift from your dad, if you would like and enjoy jewellery do so. I don't wear jewellery so I think in your position I would buy myself a good quality beautiful china mug (or 2) so I could think of him when enjoying a cuppa I would also consider a matching plate for when I have an accompanying slice of cake. What ever you decide make the decision that is right for you 🤗Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

I bought myself a necklace and earring set years and years ago in Edinburgh using money given to me by my Great Aunt and Uncle - my Uncle absolutely loved them when I showed him when I got back. He died the year before I met MrEH, so I wore the necklace at the wedding so Uncle Bob would be there in spirit. I wore the set at both his and my Great Aunt's funerals, too. It's nice to have pieces of jewellery like that which you may not wear all the time, but when you do, they amass a whole network of memories attached. The design from that set also influenced my choice of wedding ring design - a celtic knotwork pattern.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

As for the ketchup - salad cream problem. Ketchup if the food is hot & salad cream if the food is cold.

I bought a lovely mirror with coloured glass around the edge with a small inheritance from an aunt.I had seen it, loved it. But thought it was more than I was willing to pay at the time before the money arrived. I always think of her when I use it now.I did ask my son to put it on the wall and had a giggle because he is well over 6’ and I am just over 5’. So when he proudly shouted me to see it hanging in place, I could only see my forehead 😂😂4

Again thanks all for sharing your thoughts and stories. Lots of loveliness, and laughter- @Debsnewbudget that is very funny, bless your proud son 😁 And @foxgloves with the egg on the wrist, I bet she thinks of you all every time she goes near an egg!
Wednesday's doings:
Back is aching so much, don't know why, except everything else is aching so maybe it was feeling left out. And I woke up super early as a mosquito bite was driving me mad.
So not the most active day which is annoying as I was just starting to catch up with my steps I owed myself from the last big aching week!
But have done:
Very boring survey for £2.50

Many years ago I bought a Tag Heure watch with a small inheritance from my grandad. He left everything to mum and she gave us both a gift. He was very very careful with his money, so would never have thought to leave us any…and I like to think I proved to him how untrustworthy I was with the largess 😅 I still have it 20 years on, so it wasn’t as careless as he would have initially thought. I have very fond memories of him giving us a rare offer of a Mars bar…my sister and I said yes please and he brought a bar out and gave us each a small slice 😅Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
