The car behind mr redo stopped when he collapsed off his parked bike, and they called 999. The car behind that stopped and was an off duty nurse who did CPR till the ambulance arrived. I found the first car driver via Faceache so I could thank them for trying.Never under estimate the value of stopping. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Oh @redofromstart, how to respond to that other than tears *hugs*
Scant consolation for the magnitude of your loss but I'm so glad that when in future your mind inevitably flickers now and then to that scenario, you know that strangers were decent and tried and cared x2 -
I often see posts on FB thanking people for helping when their relative collapsed. Thank goodness for people who do this. When Mr SA ran me over a few years ago and trashed my ankle it was amazing how many people stopped to help. Someone fetched me water and a blanket and a bloke massaged my shoulders 😬 which didn’t really help when I was in agony but the thought was there. There are a lot of good people out there.Well done for stopping, I hope the woman is ok.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

I found a young woman passed out from too much ‘fun’ in the street with my sister in law 2 years ago, we could not rouse her at all but she was breathing. We managed to move her into the recovery position and phoned an ambulance (2 hour wait !) it was freezing and we didn’t have coats or anything but we sat on the pavement with her and ‘chatted’ to her as I was trying to ring her emergency numbers (please make sure you’ve set them up - you then don’t need to be able to access the phone to get to them). I eventually got one to answer (was 1am by now) and they came over. The number of people that walked past and ignored her was horrible ! She was so far gone anyone could have done anything to her. I’d like to think someone would look after my DS if he was that far gone.Sealed pot challenge 822

Dinner is spaghetti in tomato sauce. We are also in the terrible position of needing to use up some orange cheesecake
Hope everyone is having a good Sunday and your hatches are battened down x

That cheesecake situation sounds very challenging! I remember the old school packet mix mandarin orange ones of the late 70s/early 80s which put me off for years. I make a rather excellent white chocolate one these days.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

If you find the orange cheesecake too difficult to deal with I am only too happy to help.

The situation has become even more challenging as Mr PIP got back from his walk with a cheddar and red leicester loaf and said he'll use it to make us some garlic bread with the meal1 -
