I am the opposite in that I love ordering machines. Or more accurately I love avoiding the people interaction at the till. Which doesn’t help with mcmo tokens 🤦
ETA I don’t bother with mac and cheese and just make pasta with melted butter when in need of comfort.

    Tidying

20 minute walk using up mcmo token for an egg mcmuffin for breakfast.
It was fairly dreadful but free calories innit

    Comping

20 minute walk getting essentials from aldi and collected the Christmas gift

Bit of cleaning at mums (her flat isn't well manky btw, I'm just having to do a very small bit daily with my joints!)

Got news that my mum's cousin has died which is sad. Also it would be really nice if those I care about could just have a bit of time off from dying, it really doesn't need to be quite such a regular occurrence

Back to mums to hang up laundry

    Quarter wussy situps

Prepped dinner, a cottage pie sort of thing with mums splodge (chick pea version) and mashed allotment potatoes and cheese on top.
Have inadvertently won Halloween by them being purple potatoes. They do look excellent, as did the cauldron-green water when I drained them

Went over to neighbours flat as they're stuck in the Middle East so I said I'll do turning their heat on and off regularly so their pipes don't freeze

Hope everyone is getting over the clocks changing jetlag x

Sorry to hear about your Mums cousin. One advantage to having a very small family is I dont often have deaths. My bil was the last of the oldr generation so now there is just dd, sil and 2 dgds. Mr LHs family is exactly the same - practically non existent.

Sorry to hear about your mum’s cousin.

I love the sound of the purple potatoes and green cooking water.

    Sorry about your mum's cousin.
testing the shampoo etc sounds good.  My cat is on a tasting panel this week - he is doing the tasting and the cat sitter is filling in the paperwork.  First gainful employment the cat has ever had 😸
  • Thanks @Blackcats. Glad the cat is contributing to the mse cause!
