Thank you @Baileys_Babe and @KajiKita, we had a lovely time. Read a bit of the main newspaper over brunch- I had avocado and poached eggs with feta on sourdough toast like an OAP hipster, it was delicious.
Left a bit as I couldn't cut it and I was not having Mr PIP cutting my food for me. Hip went on the walk to pub so limping and dragging was done- I don't know why I always wonder why my hamstrings hurt. It relocated itself after a wee bit though so all good, though will have to try to remember to be gentle tomorrow
Then we got to the pub and went straight to the puzzles section, as there's only so much news misery one can take! Mr PIP did amazingly at the general knowledge crossword but it's in my handwriting, so I'll look brilliant to whoever the paper gets passed around to 😂
Looking forward to perusing at our leisure later in the week, Sunday papers *are* pricey but they do keep you going for a while if you don't dedicate a whole day to them!
Mr PIP is declaring he is still too stuffed for dinner, I however am defrosting my mac cheese 😁
Hope you've all had a good Sunday and 1st of the month- there's still four hours left to sort something out if not...3 -
Glad you had a break from overthinking about every penny. That was the only way I found to get debt free with my senses (sort of ) intact. Your Sunday sounded nice.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Re your neighbours - if you had to chose which was worse Oasis or Bob Marley?
I find inappropriate whoo-ing very annoying.
hope you had a lovely lunch0 -
Thanks @doingitanyway, it's good to remember every so often that the life one wants still exists and could be in reach (councils not withstanding!)
Hmm difficult question @Blackcats (and a nice twist on Father Ted 😁). The Oasis hurt more because that song in my experience is the go-to song for people who have 'being into music' as a self-declared characteristic but who aren't actually into music at all, but the Marley rendition did truly send that poor lovely song into the fiery furnace of godawfulness in every way.
I also find inappropriate whooing very annoying, but she sounded so much like she was delighted to hear anything or be anywhere I couldn't help but warm to her

September Aims:
I both want to feel on a bit more of a stable footing financially *and* not waste the start of autumn feeling somehow put out by the fortune of having lovely people around me who want to spend time with me, in relatively inclement weather
So I think I will make the most of the socialising but make sure to keep my eye out for any ways it can be done for less
Things that are out of my power but I will keep chasing:
-Council re build
-Hospital trust re compensation
Things that are in my power:
-Tedious listings
-Making sure I keep up with all the admins and comping and spec work even when it seems pointless or a trial
Personally:
-Catch up with my steps without further upsetting my body
-Keep up with five f&v a day
-Try to consume a bit less alcohol (more difficult when in chronic pain but an occasional attempt doesn't hurt)
-Try to not feel guilty for not doing wussy situps when my body feels like it's falling apart. Equally don't be lazy when vaguely capable of at least a small effort!
Financially:
-I am 78p away from completing my unexpected dental work I.O.ME 😂
I could just allow it but I'm not going to, because I would be disappointed in myself.
-Keep on doing the listings (those again!). My gosh they are tedious. Eyes on the flat pot prize.
-Any unlikely spare money to Christmas pot
-Secret hopes for future trips away in case of extremely unlikely extra money
Overall: keep on b*ggering on, as our great wartime leader @foxgloves and also Winston Churchill said

I love when you record wussy situps. It shows your determination to do something.
More and more, I think 'keep b*ggering on' is the key to success in everything I want to achieve.

Haha aw thanks @doingitanyway, summats better than nowt eh. And yep, 'keep b*ggering on' is a good ethos indeed.
Monday's doings:
Survey
Tidying
Spec work
Admins
Quarter wussy situps
25 minute walk
Found 1p, took that off my I.O.ME
Finished cleaning the flat
Laundry
15 minute carpet walk
This evening I am going to take part in a product research in-person group! I am going to have to talk to strangers, and say useful (or at least not horribly foolish) things! Will be a hard-earned £70 (minus tube fares). Wish me luck 😂

You will be great at the product research session. If in doubt you can "whoo" loudly.2

The product research group sounds interesting. If it’s uninspiring you could say wild and inappropriate things just for fun 😬
Our great wartime leaders (foxgloves and Winston Churchill) talk a lot of sense. Keeping buggering on is such a sensible thing to do! It’s certainly got me this far and still reasonably sane 🤭Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
