Today's mse things:
Entered the Omaze flash comp by post
Very tedious survey but £3 is £3
Found a clock in the street, it's grubby and cracked but then so am I
Not as mse:
Went to pub but beautiful day and I did some bits of organising and had a nice chilled time with myself. No sign of rat
Really need to get on it with steps and being proactively mse but feeling very disinclined to make myself do anything I'm not feeling for. I'm sure I'll be back to trying to smash the daily to-do's soon but right now I feel too much like there's no reward in trying to do the right thing so sod it.
I appreciate that is very petulant, but sometimes a woman needs a sulk

I find chocolate helps when channeling an ‘A’ grade sulk … 😉😊

- OPs to mortgage = £11,338 Interest saved £5225 to date
Fixed rate 3.85% ends January 2030
Read 37 books of target 52 in 2025, as @ 23rd July
Produce tracker: £223 of £300 in 2025

I’m sorry to read things are pretty carp at the moment with things entirely out of your control. So frustrating for you and no wonder you need a sulk. I really hope things improve very soon 🤞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

I do not bring amateur game @KajiKita, this sulk will be sulked!
Ta @beanielou. Had a sudden hankering for a dime bar, put a request in to Mr PIP on his way home and he wasn't able to find the pure version but did get Cadburys milk chocolate 'sharing' bars with dime bits that were delicious
Thanks @Sun_Addict. It's annoying feeling powerless to resist against the upset of powerlessness but hopefully things will improve soon. Not from my end though, I'm on strike from trying and hoping *feebly waves placard*4 -
Yesterday's mse doings:
Decided I don't urgently need another clock so a few quid paid back to me
25 minute walk getting bits from Aldi, shoulders are in agony though
Won £225 on the premium bonds, thank you Ernie
£100 can go to 'holding' account to replace the Hargreaves Lansdown money, £100 to flat pot, and family friends have said we can stay at theirs for a few days while they're away which is very kind and allows us to have a small summer break without paying for accommodation, so will put £25 into a holiday pot towards travel and expenses
Printed a label at mums then dropped off a vinted sale parcel
Got paid for a wee job so share to tax/NI pot
Lovely evening with good friends coming to ours, their house selling and buying is dragging on, so we had a nice time b*tching about why can't anyone just do their bloody job!
Today's plan is a walk, a pint, an early night. Dinner is leftover shepherds pie
Hope everyone has a grand Sunday 😊5 -

So pleased for you in the PB win. I'd have probably spent it all on wine and chocolate though. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Thanks @Sun_Addict and @beanielou, it's an extra relief as Ernie forsook me last month, I presume to teach me a lesson about not being tempted to spend £70 on brackets when I actually need a home!
Cheers @redofromstart, wine and chocolate always extremely tempting but hopefully there will be other wine and chocolate indulgent spend opportunities soon 🤞🍷🍫1
