But wow 🤩 …. Actually, some movement …. finally! Honestly, I truly believe that this is something to cautiously hope around …. 🤞

Oh how absolutely incompetent are they 😡 On the plus side it appears you are now on their radar so hopefully there is a glimmer of hope things might start moving 🤞

Outrageous.  But is it a positive that at least the ward councillor has been able to locate someone in the planning department and the mystical portal has been updated?
  • Thanks for both the grr and the positivity @beanielou @KajiKita @Sun_Addict @Blackcats

Trying to focus on potential progress rather than be fuming but they've just wasted so much of our money, wellbeing, and lives that they've broken my ability to be optimistic.

Just catching up PiP - so sad to hear that you had to make the hardest decision around your furry friend, but a huge well done for making that decision at the right time. It's such a tough one, but it is the most important decision we will ever make for them, really, isn't it. Reading about the card from the vets nearly had me i tears at my desk mind - what a lovely thing for them to do.

I too think you have cause for cautious optimism around the planning thing finally as well - it sounds like someone has been given a rocket, doesn't it...fingers crossed!

I now have Wordle on the go again (4 today), and have discovered Wordiply too - damn you all for that!

Thank you @EssexHebridean, still sorely missing her!

I thought today's was a bit of a cheeky one to be honest - but then again, having not done it for a while it also took aaaaages for me to remember exactly how sneaky it can be!

  • I already wasn't happy but the council 'progress' has proper whittled me down into a nothingness of a woman, so if you're looking for positivity this is not the diary post for you

Shower and hairwash before everyone else got up and housing association plumber arrived to replace the ancient loo

    Tidying
    Spec work

    Comping

Housing association plumber said he was going to buy a new loo and would be back in an hour. Family friend man called housing association after three and a half hours of waiting, to be told plumber had closed the case on leaving. So just didn't want to do the job that had been allocated and lied and made family friend, and the rest of us on standby as family friend had a hospital appointment, wait in for hours when he knew he wasn't returning

One hour walk paying my dues to the community book swap. Also picked up a couple of plant pots for my plants that need repotting

20 minute walk getting a free rug from Olio. I am trying very hard to make it into my happy things will be fine rug

    Vinted listing
    Ebay listing

20 minute walk with Mr PIP for pub garden beer because I am sick of thinking about every couple of quid while the council treats us with utter contempt

The last few years of begging council re build, begging health trust re Dad's death, begging HMRC re decades of trying to pay my NI, and being entirely dependent on mum and various family friends to just have a roof over my head because begging housing association has proven pointless and awful, has just broken me.
The council giving such an absolutely zero of a sh*t about our existence and our opportunity losses and our mental and physical health and all our financial loss, that they couldn't even be bothered to write two sentences and press send for half a year until pressed by ward councillor we had to chase has not put me in a good place.

Feel like I need to accept my fate as a working class middle aged woman with a chronic pain condition, and give up bothering deluding myself I can even achieve a sh*t life one more rung up in society and vague security, since societal structures and powers would take significantly more notice of dog muck on their shoe than they do of me constantly striving

Hope everyone is having a better Wednesday x

So sorry that your current reality is sitting so heavily on you atm. I hope lots of interesting and fun prizes turn up to lift your mood and that you have a day or two of respite from all the pain.

Sending big hugs and a cooling breeze with the sunshine 🌞 😉
