Had to regretfully put an undersheet in the fabrics recycling bag as it went bobbly after one wash and felt horribly rough to sleep on. Adding to lessons learnt: proper cheap bedding is a false economy
Mr PIP nagged Thames and apparently they're sending out letters rather than the emails they specifically said they would. Sigh. But they did mention they've approved the things they needed to so we'll see! Irrelevant if council won't sign off though so...
Letter to the chief exec of the council written, Mr PIP will look over and send tomorrow.
Not trying to get anyone in trouble, but I hope ward councillor and the entire planning department get in trouble. However I expect we'll just be roundly ignored as per usual.
Please send good vibes your pal PIP's way!

Another batch of vinted listings, sold an item for £4 straight away so will post that tomorrow
Today's mse outfit is a maxi skirt a landlady was getting rid of years ago which I'm wearing as a strapless dress, with gold hoop earrings that are an old birthday gift from mum
Hour walk with Mr PIP making the most of the sun and last day before family friends arrival, went to a nice pub with outdoor seating in the shade and had some reasonably priced beers, and they had racks of free postcards so got a handful of those for postal comp entries. Found 1p
Dinner is using the last of my Sainsers voucher for their big pizza, mozzarella sticks and a sauce deal

Gentle hugs for the back.
Yaay for the Thames response and a Paddington Hard Stare to back up the letter to the council Chief Exec ….
Glad you had a nicer afternoon 😊

happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy1 -
Hopefully progress from Thames - must be that new Chief Exec who thinks good customer service is important - he must have an MBA in chief executiving to come up with that vision/values/mission statement strategic intent!
You mentioned that cats have a way of finding us - my mum was adopted by a gorgeous 3 legged cat who turned up at the front door and moved himself in. The local vet contacted his owners who said they didn't want him anymore (vile people). About a month later a pretty little girl cat started camping out on the doorstep. Took her to the vet to check her microchip - same owner who didn't want her either. Apparently she was the aunty of first cat. My mum was ecstatic as dad had previously said no more cats but what could they do?...

Thanks for the positive thoughts and vibes and hard stares @KajiKita @Chrystal @beanielou
Clearly amazing chief executiving from the new Thames boss @Blackcats though I expect all the bills will go up what with the bluesky thinking outside the box about sending bloody letters when an email would be much more efficient!
Absolutely ghastly people who abandon their pets but hurray that they found a good home with your folks, and that your mum got to have cats despite being very respectful of your dad's wishes 😁😻2 -
Last 5 cats: sister's dog found kitten in wheel well of lorry next door - she already had three cats, voila new cat for me (she had to be put to sleep aged 13 a couple of years ago); went to nursing home to see mother (back in 2008) came home to find large box on front porch containing tiny kitten - 2nd cat; roommate decided he wanted a cat of his own - voila cat three (guess who pays for cat food and vet bills though); had to have second cat put to sleep aged 7 so other roommate decides we need a replacement cat (also paying bills for this cat); last month, neighbor claims mother cat left kitten on our back door step (guess who is stuck with the bills again because three of roommates can't pay bills). Cats are getting to be expensive - and none of current cats are officially mine.

I'd be in favour of keeping the cats and getting rid of the roommates @weenancyinAmerica! Your neighbour sounds somewhat odd too...

Hmm, some possible 'progress'- ward councillor got back and said planning department had said one of the consents had been disallowed as full payment hadn't been made DESPITE US PAYING IT IN FEBRUARY and it turns out, for the wrong amount as they'd told us the wrong amount!!!
Funnily enough, this has only just been updated on the portal, SIX F*CKING MONTHS LATER
There is also one more outstanding consent that we submitted months ago because they need 'a shorter version' because apparently they can't read, despite them asking for full details. In an astonishing coincidence, this has also only just been updated on the portal as outstanding
