  • Cheers @Sun_Addict, that has appeared on Iceland shelves possibly in lieu of their own brand so I'll def check it out

If sulking lowered my blood pressure I'd have undetectable blood pressure @Blackcats 😁
I was pleased that it was in the healthy range though as with chronic pain condition, it takes a lot more effort for my body to pump blood etc around so I was really hoping this wasn't going to be the start of a long round of investigations where I had to try explain what Ehlers Danlos is to medical professionals one hundred times

I never know whether its more annoying to try to have to repeatedly explain rare health conditions to the professionals or when they try to convincve you they know all about them when they obviously dont. My sister had a gp at one point that told her you tell me what you need as you know far more than me. A great response to her condition.
  • Have you got a health passport pip?
They have templates for them online if not.

  • I have not @WelshmansDaughter I'll have a look when my brain is up to it, ta

Oh PiP, I'm sorry to hear you've been on the struggle bus. Honestly though - do cut yourself some slack - as others have said, you have a lot to deal with, and let's be blunt about this, mostly you feal with it with determination and humour. Is it really surprising if every so often it all just gets right on top of you? I've got nothing solidly constructive to offer beyond be kind to yourself, and if you need to wallow for a bit, then wallow away - that is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of!

Oh - and well done on your rat protection duties too - that is above and beyond the call of duty, that is!

  • Thanks @EssexHebridean, I appreciate it.
I have realised that in the last month I have had the ombudsman's decision about dad's death, the cat dying, having to have dental treatment and therefore being extra skint, and the news that we've been waiting anxiously for half a year because the council couldn't be bothered to write two sentences and press send, after an anxious three years (for this phase of planning!).
So yeah, trying to cut myself some slack about feeling sad and angry and exhausted, but would rather have the impetus and energy to help improve the situation

The cat loss alone was enough to send me into negative gloom here, and I knew that it was coming. Hate the stress flak jacket and the final straw incident.
  • Agree @redofromstart *hugs*

I'd forgotten about that @KajiKita blimey! Yes that was only the month before.
One of my favourite memories of the cat is her deciding on arrival here to sit down the impossibly small gap by the tumble dryer and us worrying about her and only being able to fit a finger in, and her paw giving us a little reassuring pat every time we checked 😊
  • Day started with the cat's ashes coming home to us.
Have not been feeling energised or cheery.

    Vinted listing

Laundry, gave several items a scrub with a vanish bar so hopefully that'll keep them presentable for a bit longer

20 minute walk collecting two large seeded brown loaves from Olio.
We're usually good at getting ys or Olio bread but since it's an essential we have to buy every now and then, I'm giving myself 50p off my I.O.ME for money saved

Snoozed for an hour and a half

Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning 5k in store vouchers but I would also like a Molton Brown set please

    15 minute carpet walk

    15 minute outside walk

    Receipt survey

Dinner is pizza because that's what's in the freezer. With freezer garlic bread. Because we want it and do not have to spend money on it today! Some leaves left too to have on the side. And a bottle of wine. And some chocolate.
